Chapter 53: The Safe House

Y/N's POV

After a long flight in the quintet we finally land in a field.

As soon as we get out I knew exactly where we were. It was Clint's home where his family lives.

Then as soon as we get into the house, Clint starts calling out for Laura.

Clint: Honey I'm home.

Then Laura comes into the room.

Clint: Hi. I've got company. Sorry I didn't call ahead.

Then I saw that everyone besides Nat and I were confused as to what was happening.

Tony: This is an agent of some kind.

I chuckle at this comment by Tony.

Clint: Gentleman, this is Laura. My wife.

Laura: I know all your names.

Laura then looks at me.

Laura: Y/N, it's so nice to see you again. How are you?

Y/N: I'm...it's...I'm okay.

Tony: You knew?

Y/N: Yeah. Clint and I were on a mission a couple months ago and we needed a place to lay low.

Laura: Well, it's good to see you.

Laura goes to hug me but I flinch and I realize that Wanda must've affected me more than I'd like to admit even especially because I attacked Clint.

Then we hear footsteps coming.

Clint: Oh, incoming.

Then we see Clint's son and daughter, Cooper and Lila coming into the room.

Tony: Okay, these are smaller agents.

Lila: Did you bring Auntie Nat and Y/N?

She then sees Nat and I.

Natasha: Give us a hug and find out.

Then Lila ran over and Nat picked her up and we hugged her.

Steve: Sorry to barge in on you like this.

Tony: Yeah, we would have called ahead but we were busy having no idea that you even existed.

Clint: Fury helped me set this place up when I joined S.H.I.E.L.D. We kept it off the files and I'd like to keep it that way.

Then I see Thor scanning the room and I saw that whatever he saw affected him as well. Then Thor leaves and so Steve and I follow him.

Y/N: Thor, where are you going?

Thor: I need answers to that vision I saw, and I won't find them here.

Then Thor flew off to find answers.

Then I go to head inside and I see Steve walk off.

I guess I'm not the only one super affected by what they saw.

(Several Hours Later)

So, after a few hours, I decided to train in the barn so I can blow off some steam.

After training and getting angry I start punching the wall and my hands are bloody.

I was just so mad at to what had happened and I guess maybe I should have worn gloves.

Then I start punching the wall even harder.

Tony: Kid, kid. Stop.

I turn and see Tony.

Y/N: Stop what?

Tony: Your hands are bloody.

Y/N: It's the only thing that gets me calm.

Tony: Yeah, well I guess you need to work on that.

Y/N: What are you doing?

Tony: I came to fix the tractor.

Tony walks over to the tractor.

Y/N: I'll help.

Tony: Great.

???: Do me a favor.

We turn and see Nick come out from behind a shelf.

Nick: Try not to bring it to life.

Tony: Ah, let me guess. Maria Hill called you, right? Is she never not working for you?

Nick: Artificial intelligence. You never even hesitated.

Tony and I walk closer to Nick.

Y/N: Look, it's been a really long day.

Tony: Yeah, like Eugene O'Neil long. So how's about we skip to the part where you're useful.

Nick: Look me in the eye and tell me your going to shut him down.

Tony: Your not the director of me.

Nick: I'm not the director of anybody.

Nick sits down.

Nick: Just an old man who cares very much about you. And you kid.

Tony: And I'm the man who killed the avengers.

Tony then says that he's cause of this because he didn't tell the team. He then also tells Nick and i how he had a vision of the avengers dying.

Then after a little bit more of talking, the three of us decide to go inside.
