Chapter 26: Ghost Story

Y/N's POV

Steve and I are now in the hospital and we are both wearing hoodies so we didn't get caught by S.H.I.E.L.D.

We both walk over to the vending machine which was where Steve put it.

Y/N: (Whispers) What? Where is it?

Then I see Natasha's reflection in the glass and Steve and I both turn around to her.

Steve then grabs ahold of her and pushes her into the room behind us.

Then I close the door so no one could see us.

I then turn around and see Steve push Natasha against the door.

Steve: Where is it?

Natasha: Safe.

I go over to them.

Steve: Do better.

Natasha: Where did you get it?

Y/N: What's on it?

Natasha: I don't know.

Steve: Stop lying to us.

Natasha: I only pretend to know everything Rogers.

Y/N: I'm guessing you knew Fury hired those pirates to capture Lumarian Star.

Natasha: It makes since. The ship was dirty, Fury needed a way onto the ship and so did you two.

Steve: We're not gonna ask you again.

Natasha: I know who killed Fury. Most intelligence community doesn't believe he exists, but the ones that do call him the winter soldier. He's credited with two dozen assassination attempts in the last fifty years. That's just the ones they know about.

Y/N: So, what your saying is he's a ghost story.

Natasha then tells us about a job that she was doing and the winter soldier sabotaged it and shot her in order to shoot a man.

She then shows us a scar that she got.

Natasha: Soviet slug. No rifling. Bye-bye bikinis.

Steve: Yeah, I bet you look awful in them now.

Natasha: Going after him is a dead end. I tried.

Natasha then holds up the drive.

Natasha: Like you, He's a ghost story.

Natasha then gives the drive to Steve.

Steve: Then let's find out what the ghost wants.

Y/N: Let's do it.

Then Steve, Natasha and I leave the hospital to find out what was on the drive.

Natasha's POV

After we left the hospital Steve, Y/N and I went to the mall to find a place to plug the drive in.

I told Y/N to wait in the alley for us while Steve and I try and figure out what's on the drive.

As we are walking, Steve was walking faster than me, which didn't help us at all.

Natasha: First rule of being on the run is walk don't run.

Steve: I think if I run these shoes are gonna fall off.

We made our way into a computer store and i plugged in the drive and we find out that the drive came from Wheaton in New Jersey.

We then had to move quickly as S.H.I.E.L.D. was gonna be able to find us because we plugged the drive in.

We managed to get away from a couple of agents and we got on the escalator and see Rumlow coming up from the opposite side of Steve and I.

I then turn to Steve with an idea.

Natasha: (whispers) Kiss me.

Steve: What?

Natasha: (whispers) Public display of affection make people uncomfortable.

Steve: (whispers) Yeah I know.

I then leaned up and kissed Steve and I felt my cheeks get red.

Rumlow then passed us and I turned around.

Natasha: You still feeling uncomfortable?

Steve: That's not exactly the word I'd use.

We then go get Y/N and we then get a car and go to New Jersey where hopefully we can get answers as to what's going on.
