Chapter 89: Epilogue

(Two Days Later)

So, today is the day that Steve and I are returning the stones.

Steve and I are suited up.

I'll be returning the Space, Reality and Soul stones to their proper places.

Steve will take the Mind, Time and Power stones to their proper places.

Tony and Bruce open up two cases that now has the stones in it.

Tony: Now remember guys, you two have to return the stones to the exact place we got 'em from. Otherwise you're gonna open up a bunch of nasty alternative realities.

Steve: Don't worry Tony we know.

Y/N: We gotta clip all the branch's.

Steve and I close the cases up.

Sam and I then walk with Steve.

Sam: Cap if you want I can come with you two.

Steve and I smile at Sam.

Steve: You're a good man Sam.

Y/N: He's right, this one is on us buddy.

He nods.

Steve then says goodbye to the other's.

I go over to say goodbye to Natasha.

She and I hug, then pull away.

Y/N: You have been the best mother to me, Nat.

Natasha: You sure about that? I'm not so sure.

Y/N: It's true. I never could have asked for a better mother than you.

Natasha: And you've been the best son a mother could ever ask for and I'm just glad you didn't die.

I chuckle at this.

Y/N: Well I better go.

Natasha: Cone home safe.

Y/N: I will.

After that I put on my mask and join Steve on the platform.

Sam: How long is this gonna take?

Tony: For them as long as they need, for us about five seconds.

Bruce: Alright Cap, Spidey, we'll meet you back here.

We both nod.

Steve: You bet.

Y/N: We'll be back.

The we activate the helmets on our time travel suits.

Steve picks up Mjölnir as he is going to return that to.

Bruce: Going quantum in five, four, three, two, one.

Steve and I shrink down and go back in time again.

Natasha's POV

Y/N and Steve have just disappeared back into the quantum realm.

Bruce: And returning in five, four, three two, one.

We wait a few seconds and we see Steve and Y/N reappear on the teleporter.

Then they deactivate their time travel suits.

Natasha: So, you did it, right?

Steve: Yep, everything is back to the way it should be.

Bucky: Nice.

Tony: Great job guys.

Y/N chuckles as he pulls off his mask.

Y/N: We do our best.

Y/N's POV

Steve and I get off the platform and walk off together to talk.

Y/N: Why didn't you go back with Peggy?

Steve: Because I realized that's it's time for me to move on. I've spent these last years stuck in the past. It's time for me to move on. Start a family of my own.

Y/N: You know, I've got the perfect person for that.

Steve: Who?

I then turn Steve around to Nat who is talking to Holland.

Steve: Are you trying to set me up?

Y/N: You and Nat have been through so much together. And maybe there's a reason why her and Bruce weren't meant to be together.

Steve: Oh yeah, and what would that reason be?

Y/N: Because You and Nat are supposed to be together.

Steve: I won't lie. I've thought about it. That maybe I was put in the ice to find Natasha.

Y/N: You can't wait. I did.

I then pull out the engagement ring I planned to use with Wanda.

Steve: Kid...

Y/N: Here.

Steve: I can't.

Y/N: If anyone deserves this, it's you.

I then open Steve's hand and I put the ring in his hand.

Steve: Are you sure?

Y/N: I'm sure.

Steve: I am sorry about Wanda.

Y/N: There's nothing I can do about it. But you...You Steve Rogers, you can do something. You can go get the girl.

Steve: Thank you, Y/N.

I then watch and stand there for a minute as I see Steve and Natasha talking and I smile as they hug.

Then Tony announces that he's retiring as Iron-Man but he'll still be there whenever we need him.

After Tony leaves, Holland comes over to me.

Holland: What will you do?

Y/N: You know, I've spent over ten years as Spider-Man and my identity never got out.

Holland chuckles.

Y/N: I don't know what's next for me. I don't know. Back then, did you think this was how your life would turn out?

Holland chuckles.

Holland: I haven't thought about in a long time. Do you regret it?

I think about it for a minute and then I look at Holland.

Y/N: No.

Then we stay silent for a minute and then Holland speaks up.

Holland: I'm leaving.

Y/N: Where are you going?

Holland: I don't know. Bucky and Sam are going on a mission and they asked me to come with. So I'm gonna go with them and see where life takes me.

Y/N: I hope whatever you find. You enjoy it. Don't take it for granted.

Holland: Don't take what for granted?

Y/N: Time.

Then Holland and I hug and I watch as she walks away.

Then I hear sirens and so I reactivate my mask and I jump in the air and follow the sirens.

No matter what life throws at me.

No matter how hard I'm thrown down.

Without Wanda in my life....I don't know if or when I'll ever move on.

But one thing is for certain.
