Chapter 49: HYDRA's Base

Y/N's POV

So, after arriving in Sokovia we instantly had to start fighting HYDRA because an alarm was pulled.

I am currently web swinging through the trees when my web gets ripped and I land on the jeep Nat and Clint were driving.

Natasha: Sweetie, you okay?

Y/N: I'm good.

Then I see a group of HYDRA goons in front of me so I jumped off the front of the jeep and used an ability I haven't used in a while which was my venom blast to send them all flying backwards.

Then we all move forward so we can finish HYDRA off.

Then I web zip side by side with Tony so I can help him out.

But as soon as we got close to the base we get hit with an energy shield which shocked both of us.

Y/N: Shit!

Tony catches me before I can fall and then I start web swinging.

Steve then comes over comms.

Steve: Language! Jarvis, what's the view from upstairs?

Jarvis: The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield. Struckers technology is well beyond any other HYDRA base we've taken.

Thor: Loki's scepter must be here. Strucker couldn't mount this defense without it. At long last.

Natasha: At long last is a lasting a little too long, boys.

Clint: Yeah, I think we lost the element of surprise.

Tony then brings up a good point.

Tony: Wait, is no one else gonna deal with the fact that Cap just said "Language"?"

Steve: Yeah I know. It just slipped.

As Tony and I were trying to find a way inside, he also had to send in the iron legion so they can help civilians.

Tony and I then make it to the courtyard and I take down the HYDRA goons.

While I was taking them down, Nat comes over the comms.

Natasha: Guys, Clint's hurt bad!

Y/N: Damn. Nat, is he all right?

Natasha: He will be. But we gotta get him out of here now.

Thor then comes over the comms.

Thor: I can get Barton to the jet. You, Stark and Y/N find that scepter.

Steve: Copy that.

Y/N: And for gosh sakes watch your "language."

Steve: (Sighs) That's not going away anytime soon.

Tony then finds away to break lower the shield.

He and I break through the window and then we see a group of HYDRA goons and I take cover.

They starts shooting at Tony but the bullets just bounce off his armor.

Tony: Come on guys, let's talk about this.

Tony then shoots all of them down.

Tony: Good talk.

HYDRA Goon: No, it wasn't.

I then come out from cover and Tony lands on the ground and comes out of his armor.

Tony and I then look around and we find a hidden room and we walk down the stairs into a massive room.
