Dean motioned me out of the car.

"I'll be right back." I told my dad. I got out of the car and Dean and I talked.

"Sup Dean?"

"I thought you two were gonna go get the heart."

"We did."

"Ok. What happened then? Why is he upset?"

"He seemed upset and I asked him why.... It's about his nightmares. He thinks the one he keeps having about me almost dying from Aura is gonna come true. He told me all about Jess and how he feels so guilty about it and my mom and if I got hurt how he feels like it would be his fault."

"Jess and your mom weren't his fault and he couldn't do anything to save them."

"I know. I tried to tell him that. I told him he shouldn't focus on what has happened in the past. He should remember what happened, but not let it run his life. He has both of us who love him. He has a lot to be happy about."

"Yeah. He beats himself up a lot. Especially about Jess. She was the first girl he ever loved."

"I know Dean. We'll be in in a minute."

"Ok." He said, and went inside. I got back in the car.

"Dad?" I said quietly

"What?" He asked through the tears

"I'm sorry." He sat up in his seat, letting out a sigh and wiping his eyes.

"For what sweetheart?"

"I pushed you to talk about everything. You've been crying for the past 15 minutes, and I just want you to be ok. I want you to get through this."

"Hey, don't feel bad about pushing me to talk. I'll be ok. Just give me a minute and I'll be ready to go inside. You are welcome to stay in here with me, but I just need to compose myself."

"Take all the time you need. Thank you for talking about it. I know it was hard for you. Dean asked what we were talking about. I told him the gist. I hope you're not mad that I told him."

"Of course I'm not mad, he already knew about it. Plus, I can't be mad at you for anything after what you've done for me today. You offered your own blood for that spell, and you sat here with me all afternoon. You have no idea how awesome you are Alex. I'm just embarrassed that I've been crying in front of you."

"You shouldn't be embarrassed. Everyone cries. You needed to put your emotions out in the open, and I'm glad you did it with me." He and I got out and made our way to the trunk so we could get the heart. Before he grabbed the bag with the heart in it, he pulled me in for a big hug.

"Thank you Alex. I couldn't have made it through this by myself."

"Of course. We are here for each other. Family is there for family." He grabbed the bag and we went inside.
