I woke up and my dad was still asleep. It was around 5:00 pm when I woke up. I went back out to Dean.

"Hey Alex, how are you feeling?"

"I'm ok. I'm far less tired now. What are you doing?" I asked, seeing that he was on the laptop.

"Trying to find out stuff about your mom's family. She is impossible to find anything on." He replied, getting frustrated.

"I never told you you had to deal with this. Don't get so frustrated. We might figure it out; we might not. It's ok. How have you been searching? I'll help you look."

"Hey, I'm helping. You're family and we need to figure this out for you. And, I just did some digging on her genes and her parents. I don't know what else to search for."

"Did she have any siblings? Aunts, uncles?"

"She had a brother that we know of, and yeah she had some aunts and uncles but I don't know what their names were."

"Do you think we could track down her brother and find out anything from him. Possibly the names of her aunts and uncles?"

"I don't remember her brother's name. Sam would know. We can ask him later." Dean and I kept searching based off his searches and her parents' info and coming up empty. It was getting late. It was already almost 8 and we hadn't eaten yet.

"I'm starving. You want some food Alex?"

"Yeah, let me go see if my dad is up yet and wants anything. He should be up right?"

"Yeah, go ask him. I would guess he is up, but if he's not, don't worry." I opened the door to his room and he was still sound asleep. I went back out to Dean instead. I told Dean to just get him something, and he left. I continued research while he was gone, but once again, I came up with nothing.

After a while, Dean returned with a three burgers. "Sammy's still not up yet?"

"No. Should I wake him? He's been asleep for almost 8 hours on top of however much he slept last night."

"Yeah, I'd say go ahead and wake him." Dean replied. I walked into my dad's room. He was still asleep. I shook him gently, but hard enough to hopefully wake him up.

"Dad? DAD?" I said quietly. He stuck his arm out abruptly and hit me in the chest. "Ow." I said louder than I wanted to. He sat up.

"Alex. I'm so sorry. Are you ok?"

"Yeah." I groaned back.

"What do you need? Why'd you wake me?"

"It's almost 8 and we got dinner. You've been sleeping quite a while."

"Oh. Ok. I'll be right out."

"Sorry I woke you." I said, feeling guilty.

"It's ok Alex. You had every reason to worry and wake me. And sorry I punched you. I was dreaming I guess."

"It's ok. You weren't trying to hurt me." I said before heading back out to work on researching. My dad came out and we all started eating.

"So dad, we had a question about the research stuff."

"Yeah, shoot." He replied.

"Dean said she had a brother. Do you know what his name was and is there any way to track him down?"

"His name was Michael, I believe. Why do you want to track him down?"

"There's a possibility that he would know where the powers came from, and an aunt or uncle might have had the powers which would tell us where he got them from. Basically, we should be able to trace it back to someone once we find a member of the family to talk to."
