I got up the next morning and went out to the kitchen where the boys were having breakfast. I sat at the table and started eating some cereal. The guys were looking at me with a questioning look and kept glancing at each other.

"What?" I asked

"Nothing." Dean said. 'Oh, what I would do to know what the heck is going on.' I thought. I looked at Dean's face intently as I tried to analyze his expressions. Suddenly, I heard him say

"Should we tell her?"

"I want to tell her, but she's been through a lot." Sam said

"Tell me what?" I asked, confused.

"Huh? Neither of us said anything."

"But I heard you. Dean, you said 'should we tell her?' And dad, you said 'I want to tell her, but she's been through a lot.' "

"We never said that. I thought that Alex." Dean said.

"Great. Sorry, but I'm not hungry anymore." I said before dropping my spoon in the bowl, not caring that it splashed a little on the table, and went to my room. I shut the door and laid in my bed with my face in the pillow and cried. It was a stupid reaction, but it was what I did. This wasn't supposed to be happening. I was supposed to be a normal girl. I just didn't know what to do anymore and my life was crashing down around me.

~Sam's POV~

Dean and I cleaned up the milk, and discussed as we did.

"Dean? Do you think she really read our minds?"

"Yeah. She had my thought word for word. It wouldn't surprise me either. She is figuring out her powers now. I'm sure she's scared, but she runs off every time."

"Yeah. True. I'm gonna go talk to her."

"Good idea." Dean said, clearly troubled as to what to do about our whole situation.

I knocked on her door, but she didn't respond. I could hear her sobbing. I opened the door anyways.

~Alex's POV~

I heard my dad knock, but I made no attempt to answer it. I heard him open the door, but I kept my face in my pillow. He didn't say anything for a bit. He just came and crouched next to my bed near me. He lightly rubbed my upper back to calm me down. When I felt him touch my back, I sat up. He moved and sat at the end of the bed as I changed positions to where my back was to the wall and I was facing him.

"Hey, I'm not mad about you reading our minds or you spilling the milk. I just have a question."

"If it's whether or not I knew about that, it's no."

"No, it's not that."

"Ok. Then what?"

"Why are you pushing us away? Especially me?"

"I don't know how to tell you. You wouldn't get it."

"Try me."

"This isn't supposed to be happening. I was supposed to be a normal kid. I was supposed to be a great hunter like you two. All I've managed to do was prove that all I do is get hurt or hurt you guys on hunts and that I'm really a monster and I just don't know what's happening anymore. My whole life is crashing down around me and Im scared that something is gonna happen and not only is my life gonna be destroyed forever, but I'm gonna lose you and Dean."

"I understand. I felt a lot like that when I was drug back into hunting. I felt like it wasn't my life to live. I learned to look at the good, not the bad."

"But where's the good in this? I'm a screw up. I'm a monster."

"You are not a monster, and you aren't a screw up. Plus, you need to remember that you have me and you have Dean, you are a great hunter, you have food on the table, you have a home, and as scary as it is, you can read minds. That's awesome! The list just goes on and on. But one thing stands out among the rest, and it is the most important thing to remember."

"What's that?"

"You have me and Dean. I don't care if you think you screwed up beyond fixing. I don't care if you are scared. I don't care what you've done, or will do. We will be here. We are never leaving you. We will always be here for you with anything and everything. We love you to death. But this goes both ways."

"What do you mean it goes both ways?"

"You need to stop pushing us away when you get scared or upset. Tell us you are scared and we will help you through this. Pushing us away isn't gonna help anything. You don't look like a little kid when you tell us you are scared. You may be 16, but that doesn't mean you can't ever get scared."

"Ok. Well, I'm scared dad."

"I know you are honey. It's gonna be ok. I meant what I said before. We will work through this together. I'm here for you. I love you."

"I love you too dad. Let's go back out with Dean and figure out what we are gonna do."

"Sounds good Alex."
