Mr. Choi's eyes narrowed at Y/N, his tone sharp as he snapped at her. "Is this how you should talk to elders?" Y/N felt a surge of annoyance but kept her expression neutral, silently rolling her eyes in response.

"I just asked what is true," she thought, the words unspoken but clear in her mind. She could see the tension in Mr. Choi's face as he sighed and she quickly murmured an apology.

"I am letting this slide this time only because you are one of the best students of the university. Don't expect it next time," Mr. Choi's voice held a warning tone as he spoke. Y/N nodded, acknowledging his words with a slight tilt of her head.

"You can go now," he dismissed her, and she bowed respectfully before turning to leave. She couldn't help but clench her jaw in frustration, feeling the weight of the reprimand even as she walked away.

She twisted the knob, opening the door to be met with two guys standing before her. "What are you two doing here?" she asked, trying to hide the frustration that simmered beneath the surface.

"Waiting for you, of course," Jimin answered smoothly, a small smile playing on his lips. However, Taehyung remained still like a statue, his eyes piercing into hers with intensity, as if throwing daggers at her.

Y/N decided to steer the conversation away from the tension with Taehyung and inquired, "Oh, where are Beomgyu and Yuna?" She hoped focusing on her friends might alleviate the current atmosphere.

"The officers called her for questioning, and Beomgyu went to accompany her, so we came to accompany you." Jimin explained, smiled warmly at her, trying to ease the tension.

"I don't need anyone to accompany me," Y/N murmured, her independence shining through. Taehyung couldn't help but scoff, his irritability evident in his body language.

"Yeah, of course. Why does a killer need a company?" Taehyung's words cut through the air, his tone laced with suspicion and accusation.

"What do you mean killer? Do you think I am the killer?" Y/N's voice held a mix of shock and indignation at the insinuation.

"I didn't at first. But I doubt it now. You are acting weird these days. As if you want to find the killer, god knows what you are actually up to," Taehyung muttered the last part, his tone filled with uncertainty. Y/N scoffed in disbelief at the accusation, feeling a mixture of hurt and frustration.

"Ah, really? I don't know what made you say that. But you should mind what you are saying. I am actually trying to find the killer," Y/N retorted, her voice tinged with determination and a hint of hurt.

"Oh? Alright. Then answer this, the ones who died were not even someone you are close with. Then why are you so into finding the killer or whatever you are telling?" Taehyung's voice rose as he challenged her, his frustration evident in his tone.

"You know what? Yeah, I am the killer. And YOU are my next target," Y/N declared boldly, poking Taehyung's chest with a finger, her eyes filled with defiance.

"Woah, woah. Will you two stop fighting now?" Jimin interjected, stepping in between them and gently pushing them to each side, attempting to diffuse the escalating tension.

They both glared at each other, their faces inches apart, the animosity and intensity palpable in the charged atmosphere that surrounded them.

"I don't need any company. I know how to take care of myself. And, Don't. Follow. Me," Y/N asserted firmly to Jimin, her tone unwavering as she turned around and stomped away, leaving a trail of finality in her wake.

"Y/N, wait..." Jimin's voice trailed off as she continued on, disregarding any attempts to stop her.

"Let her be, Jimin. Why should we care? SHE IS NO ONE TO US ANYWAY," Taehyung's voice echoed behind her, the words stabbing at her more deeply than she cared to admit. Tears glistened in her eyes as she hurried to her room.
