- Chapter 0 - The Chapter in Which Gabriel Starts Walking Around with a Video Camera as he Talks to it and Gets Others to Talk to it As Well-
Warnings: fluffy chapter!
A/N, so I was like, "maybe I should write the rest of the First Understudy Rehearsal for the next chapter", and then I was like, "...no. I already have this written and am super excited for people to see it", so here you go! Enjoy!
Third Person POVGabriel smiled at the camera he held as he pressed record. "Hi!" He felt slightly awkward talking to a camera, but he figured that would go away. "My name is Gabriel Monroe," he introduced himself. "As you can see, I'm in a theater." Gabriel laughed weakly at himself. "I'm sorry, I'm really not used to this."
Gabriel looked around. "Anyways, welcome to our vlog," he said. "I think you'll like it here." He laughed when he realized what he said. "Kinda glad no one else is here as that would've probably caused the majority of our cast to burst into the song from Annie," Gabriel commented.
"I decided to start a vlog, called "Behind the Story", because I wanted to document this." Gabriel smiled. "This has got to be my favorite cast I've ever been in and we've only just entered our third week of rehearsals, or technically I think we're at day 14 of rehearsals, but still the third week because we don't rehearsal on weekends so we've been doing it for three school weeks," he explained. "Or the third week of the trolley strike." He laughed lightly. He heard singing from somewhere in the theater, which caught his attention. Gabriel smiled fondly, looking back at the camera. "They're literally so talented," he told the camera.
"Anyway, I'm Romeo in our production of Newsies," Gabriel informed the camera. "We had our first understudy rehearsal yesterday." He laughed lightly as he remembered the events that had taken place the day before. "I think Mr. Miller - our director - is tired of us, due to the fact that a good amount of the cast that wasn't supposed to be at the rehearsal showed up anyway to support the understudies and watch," he explained.
"Anyway, enough about me, let's go meet the cast," Gabriel said. "I hope you enjoy the vlog." He smiled as he walked to the stage. Gabriel pushed open the door and walked onto the stage.
Almost immediately, Gabriel spotted Emilio. He laughed and flipped the camera, pointing it at the younger boy. "Here's Emilio, just stretching, per usual."
Emilio looked up at him and grinned. He was upside-down with his chest on the floor and his left leg over his head, in a split. "Gotta stay flexible," he responded.
Gabriel laughed and shook his head.
Emilio let go of his leg and sat up. He switched to a front split with his right leg in front, leaning over his leg and touching his toes.
"I mean, it's not like you'd lose your flexibility that easily," Jesse commented.
Gabriel pointed the camera at him.
Jesse was leaning against the wall, his coffee cup in his hand.
Gabriel turned the camera back at Emilio when he started speaking.
Emilio narrowed his eyes at Jesse. "You just don't understand because you're not flexible," he shot back.
Gabriel chuckled, turning the camera back to face Jesse.
Jesse rolled his eyes. "I never said I was flexible," he responded.
Emilio shrugged.
Gabriel chuckled again. "This is our Jack Kelly, Jesse Miller," he informed the camera. "The eldest son of Mr. Miller," he added.
Jesse waved.
Gabriel turned the camera back to Emilio. "Emilio is our Racetrack Higgins and the first Crutchie understudy," he informed the camera. "He's Jesse's brother and Mr. Miller's youngest son."

FanfictionDeclan laughed out loud, looking over from where he sat lazily in a chair. "Andrew can't sing, but he's an amazing actor, that's why he got Teddy Roosevelt and Nunzio," he commented. "And cause they were down an oldsie," Jesse muttered as he watched...
