Chapter 53 - Crazy Musical Karaoke

Third Person POV

Quentin Miller looked back at Andrew. "There's no objections." He smiled.

Andrew grinned, pumping his fist in the air. He went over to the computer they played background music on (their band was still practicing).

(A/N, before someone says something about high school musicals not usually having their own band, the production of Newsies that I saw (which was a high school production) had a select band play the music. It was a really good production.)

Aurora raised her hand. "May we request a song? Because I have one request," she said.

Andrew nodded, beckoning her over.

Aurora covered her mouth as she whispered something in her ear.

Samuel and Quentin, who were standing next to them, chuckled.

Andrew nodded.

Aurora went back to where she had been before.

"Be careful!" Samuel called after her. "You're still not supposed to be moving much!" he reminded her.

Quentin chuckled.

Andrew typed something into the computer. He looked up, grinning. "First group- because this one has more than two or three people in it," he explained. "Reagan, Josh, Aurora, Isabella, and Aliyah," he listed.

Aurora perked up. "Oh, I didn't realize I was in this group, too," she commented.

Andrew chuckled. "The song is a mix between 'Wait for Me' and the reprise from Hadestown," he informed them.

Reagan looked over at Aurora, a knowing look on her face.

Aurora giggled, her hands behind her back innocently. "What? You really like Eurydice and I really like hearing you sing her stuff," she explained.

Chuckling, Reagan shook her head.

"Isabella, Aurora, and Aliyah are our fates and Josh is our Orpheus," Andrew informed them.

They all nodded, getting into their spots.

Highlights from the performances

Reagan walked over to Aurora, lifted her chin, and pressed a soft kiss to her lips.

"Isn't Eurydice supposed to kiss Orpheus?" Sawyer asked with a smirk. "Not one of the fates?"

Reagan rolled her eyes. "Eurydice is a lesbian," she responded.

Aurora giggled, her cheeks red. "The plot twist of the year," she responded.

The cast laughed.

"Do I really have to be Jared?" Kyler complained as he lifted himself onto the stage and swung his feet over the side.

His cousins - who apparently had more common sense at that moment - walked up the stairs.

"Yes." Andrew laughed as he started the music.

Isaac: You'll be obsessed with all my forest expertise!

Kyler crossed his arms. "Absolutely not!"

Jeremy chuckled. "Why is Kyler so good at being exasperated and semi-condescending?" he muttered, amused.

Isaac rolled his eyes at Kyler and kept singing.
