- Chapter 24 - Flirting and Joking Fun -
Warnings: Lots of jokes, nothing bad, slight mentions of being annoyed
Third Person POVEmilio bounced through the door and onto the stage.
Jesse chuckled as he followed him.
Emilio was very excited today.
Jesse knew his younger brother liked Fridays - though they weren't his favorite day of the week; that was Wednesday, because he liked how it sounded in Italian and he thought it was a funny English word, and he liked the middle of the week - but the fact that it was a Friday wasn't the main reason why he was so excited today.
"Hey, Lio!" Gabriel bounced over to him, grinning. "We're gonna play Tricks and Tags! Wanna play?" he asked excitedly.
Emilio grinned. "Yeah!"
"Great! The De Luca twins are tagging first," Gabriel informed Emilio. "Josh, Mateo, Ben, Belle, Ollie, Nate, you, and I are running," he explained.
Emilio nodded. "Do we have tricks we have to do? Or is it any trick?" he asked curiously.
Gabriel shook his head. "Nope. It's any we want," he informed him. "There need to be between six to eight turns if that's your choice for when you're tagged, handstands held for thirty seconds, splits for a minute, six jumps, and any sort of flip is hard to do in a row, especially in a theater, so that one is up to you if you chose it," he explained.
Emilio nodded. "Let's go!"
Jesse chuckled as he watched them go over to the group.
They had about twenty minutes before rehearsal.
Tricks and Tags was a play on the game Tag. It was one most theater kids in the school knew, and Jesse had taught it to Emilio within a few months of Emilio getting fostered by Mr. Miller; when he found out Emilio liked theater.
The object of the game was just like Tag: don't get tagged.
If you did get tagged, you had to do a trick of your choice. There were certain rules to what tricks you could do, how many, and for how long before you could join and try to tag other people.
Sometimes, they chose the trick that everyone had to do, which usually happened if there was a trick people needed to work on. Other times, it was each player's choice.
Isabella walked over to Jesse. "Why is he so excited today?" she asked curiously, watching the group as they started playing.
Jesse looked over at her. "We learn "King of New York" today," he reminded her.
Isabella chuckled when she realized. "Isn't that his favorite song?"
Jesse nodded.
About fifteen minutes later
"Oh, Mateo~" Gabriel grinned as he walked towards him. "Come here and give me a big huggg!"
Mateo quickly shook his head, jumping over one of the seats. "I'm not giving you a hug while you're a tagger, Gabriel Monroe!" he shouted back.
"What if I'm not a tagger and just a clingy best friend?!" Gabriel shouted in response, climbing over the seats after him.
"Then, you're being far too suspicious!"
"I'm literally asking for a hug!"
"You're being more clingy than usual! Let me win this!"
The cast members who were watching from the stage chuckled. This was very amusing to watch.
