Third Person POV

"Come! Come!" Aliyah grinned, ushering the girl in.

Kennedy smiled. "Are the others here yet?" she asked.

"Mhm!" Aliyah shut the door and locked it. "All upstairs. I think Isabella is helping Jada with her hair and Mary is doing touch ups on Jada's makeup," she informed her. She giggled a bit. "Jada really is helpless when it comes to makeup."

Kennedy chuckled. "She is, but also, I'm as helpless as she is and I need Mary's help too."

Aliyah laughed. "Fair enough." She leads her to the stairs. "Come on!"

Kennedy followed her up the stairs.

"And she's here!" Aliyah announced.

"Hey, Kenny!"

Kennedy smiled and set her purse down on the bed. "Hey, girlsies!"

Jada looked over at her. She smiled. "Hey, Ken-"

Mary glared at Jada and turned her head back. "Quit moving while I'm trying to fix your makeup," she grumbled.

Jada pursed her lips. "Sorry." She smiled sheepishly.

Isabella chuckled.

"Hey, Mary?"

"Hm?"

"Can you help me with my makeup when you're done?" Kennedy asked sheepishly.

Mary sighed, a bit amused. "Yeah. You're lucky we always plan ahead," she commented.

Kennedy chuckled. "Yeah, because two of us are a mess," she responded.

Jada rolled her eyes fondly, but didn't speak so she didn't bother Mary.

Mary nodded in agreement, focusing on Jada's eyeshadow.

Aliyah giggled as she put her lipgloss on. "What are you going to do for makeup on show nights?" she asked.

Kennedy shrugged. "Probably either have one of you do it... or Josh," she answered. "It worked well enough last time. Plus, I don't have it as hard as you all do." She chuckled.

"Josh's makeup is going to be spectacular tonight," Isabella commented, finally speaking up. She had been focused on fixing Jada's hair and silent up until this point. "I heard him talking about it earlier."

Mary looked at her. "Speaking of my gay child, will you call him for me?" she asked her.

Isabella nodded. She grabbed Mary's phone, paused the music (which happened to be The Prom original cast album), and FaceTimed Josh.

"Mary-Belleeee."

"Joshua." Mary chuckled a bit. "How are you?"

Josh sighed. "Flustered, darling."

Mary raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Why is that?" She looked at Jada and puckered her lips, gesturing for Jada to do the same.

Jada grimaced, but complied.

"Because I know Rowan has hot stuff in his closet and I can't find it," Josh answered.

"Oh come on! Let me wear my sweater and bring my books and be fine with it!" Rowan grumbled from somewhere behind Josh. "I don't even want to go!"

"Hush, child." Josh grabbed another thing out of Rowan's closet. He smirked a bit. "Oh, this. This is nice."

"Dear lord."
