Warnings: Slight mentions of bad memories, but it's all and all a really happy and fluffy chapter
Third Person POVSawyer paced anxiously as he waited for Emilio to answer his call.
One ring...
Two rings...
Three r-
"Hey." Emilio's voice came through from the other side of the phone.
Sawyer exhaled in relief.
Emilio chuckled lightly. "You seem so relieved," he pointed out. "You okay?"
"Yeah, no, I'm fine," Sawyer assured him. "I just need your help," he admitted, cringing a bit.
Sawyer hated admitting that he needed help, but he figured he should probably call someone for help after burning all three of the cakes he tried to make.
"Okay, what do you need?" Emilio asked.
"So..." Sawyer hesitated, not knowing where to start, "you can't tell anyone this, but today is Matthew's birthday," he informed him. "He doesn't want anyone to know, other than me and some select friends, who he's with right now," he informed Emilio.
"Okay."
"I wanted to make him a cake," Sawyer started, staring at the burnt attempt at a cake in the trash, "and then burned all three of my attempts..." he mutters defeatedly.
Emilio blinked. "Three?"
Sawyer nodded, ashamed. "Three."
"Alright, do you want me to help?" Emilio asked him.
"That's kind of why I'm calling," Sawyer responded.
"Alright, can you come over to my house?" Emilio asked. "I can text you the address," he said.
"That would be great," Sawyer responded as he grabbed his shoes. "Thank you, Emilio."
Emilio nodded. "I'll see you when you get here," he said.
Sawyer nodded, hanging up the phone. He started putting his shoes on, getting a notification from his phone. He looked at it.
Emilio had texted him the address.
That's was quick, Sawyer thought to himself. He figured Jesse probably had Emilio send it before he forgot or something. Sawyer shrugged it off, finishing tying his shoe.
Sawyer grabbed his flannel, due to the fact that it was still a bit breezy outside, and left the house, his phone in his hand.
However, it didn't take him much walking to realize that the flannel he had grabbed was not in fact his and was Matthew's, which caused his cheeks to turn bright red for most of the walk.
At the Miller's house
Sawyer knocked in the door.
The door opened after a moment, revealing Emilio. He smiled. "Hey, come on in." He moved out of the way so Sawyer could walk in.
Sawyer walked into the house. "Thank you again," he said. "I usually just pick up something, but I wanted to try and make something special this year and cooking was never a skill I picked up," he explained.
Emilio chuckled. "I understand," he responded, leading Sawyer to the kitchen. "You should see Jesse; he burned pasta. By the way," he paused for a moment, "this is considered baking, not cooking."
