- Chapter 47 - I'm so sorry for everything that happens in this chapter -
Warnings: mentions of abusive families, getting hurt, someone giving someone else a beating, crying, slight fighting, homophobic people
A/N, I'm sorry if this chapter and the next few feel rushed. They have to go according to my timeline and it has to happen before April break, so I need to get it moving. I am trying to make it as cohesive and good as possible lol.
Third Person POV

"No, no, you're wrong." Emilio stopped him, putting his hand up. "Tu hai torto."

Jesse rolled his eyes. "Io ho ragione," he responded.

Emilio narrowed his eyes at him. "Tu hai torto," he responded again.

Jesse raised an eyebrow at him. "Io ho ragione."

Emilio scowled a bit. "Let me say it slowly to get it through that thick, Jack Kelly skull of yours." He tapped the top of Jesse's head. "Tu. Hai. Torto." He glared at him. "You. Are. Wrong."

Jesse sighed deeply. "I'm not going to fight anymore about this," he decided, exhausted.

Emilio crossed his arms. "Because you're wrong?"

"Oh my God." Jesse groaned, his hands over his face. He looked at his adoptive father. "Please tell Emilio that just because "grazie" sounds fun, doesn't mean he should say it all of the time instead of "thank you"," he told him. "No one knows what he means when he says "grazie", unless they speak Italian, which most people don't, or they know him and have heard him say it before," he said.

Emilio rolled his eyes. "People say "gracias" all of the time, even people who don't speak Spanish! "Grazie" sounds just like it!" he pointed out. "If people are any bit brighter than Jesse, they can put two and two together and get four!" he exclaimed like it was obvious.

Jesse rolled his eyes fondly. "Thank you, Lio."

Emilio rolled his eyes. "You know I think you're smart. You're just a bit dense sometimes." He shrugged.

Jesse looked at Mr. Miller with pleading eyes.

Mr. Miller chuckled, not looking up from his clipboard where he was flipping through some papers.

"Plus," Emilio started again, "why say the words "thank you"," his face scrunched up in disgust, "when you can say "grazie"?" he questioned. "Doesn't it sound fun? Gra-zee-ay! Grazie!" He made a gesture as if he'd blown his mind, staring at Jesse with wide and obvious - plus slightly dramatic - eyes.

Jesse groaned.

Mr. Miller chuckled. "Emilio can do whatever he'd like, Jesse," he told him. "If that includes saying "grazie" instead of "thank you", who am I to stop him?"

"But it's so weird!" Jesse responded.

Emilio rolled his eyes. He jumped three feet in the air when someone tapped his shoulders.

Finn's eyes widened. "Lio, it's me," he quickly told him. "You okay?"

Emilio exhaled, his eyes wide. "Hi, yeah, sorry. I didn't know someone was behind me," he explained.

Finn chuckled lightly. "That's fair."

"Do you need something?" Emilio asked Finn.

Finn shrugged. "It can wait until after you and Jesse are done arguing," he said.

Jesse quickly shot up. "No, no, actually, it can't." He quickly started pushing them away. "Go ahead. You two can talk. Our thing can wait," he told them.

Emilio rolled his eyes, but nodded.

Finn chuckled. "Let's go somewhere else," he told Emilio.

Emilio nodded and followed him to an empty space backstage. "Why are we in here?" he asked, looking around.
