- Chapter 23 - Another Chapter! (In which Stage does not have a title, so I apologize for that haha) -
Warnings: Mentions of being antsy, nothing really bad
A/N, thank you again to VaquitaLibra for reading over part of this chapter. Good news is that they didn't have me edit anything, which means I'm getting better at writing Emilio and Andrew!
Third Person POVEmilio rocked from the balls of his feet to his heels, over and over again. His hands were behind his back as he waited.
Rehearsals could be really hard when it came down to blocking.
Because there were so many characters in the show, it was really hard for Emilio to sit still for that long and not get sidetracked and stay focused.
For some unknown reason, he felt especially antsy today.
Emilio watched as his foster father instructed certain cast members to do stuff, gave them their blocking, and also told them to test out a trick.
He watched the cast members do tricks and get into their blocking and write it in their scripts.
Emilio had already tried distracting his mind by reading the script, but he knew most of it already and it had just resorted in him doodling a bit while he tried not to zone out.
Andrew had been wandering around the audience - the cast members who weren't in the scene were watching from the audience and he was given permission to wander around the audience if he wasn't disruptive - when he noticed how fidgety Emilio had gotten.
Andrew frowned to himself. He had been in a lot of shows and knew how it felt to just stand there and slowly get more and more antsy and such.
Andrew walked back over to where he had been sitting next to Mason and Eliasz and looked through his bag.
After a few minutes, he found what he had been looking for.
(And yes, some of the time in the few minutes consisted of him finding things he had forgotten were in his bag and him being happy about that and suddenly remembering that he was looking for something after a moment of looking at the first thing he had found.)
Andrew walked over to the stage, not noticing the confused looks he got from Eliasz and Mason, and tapped Emilio's foot.
Emilio looked down at him. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
Andrew handed him a fidget cube. "Here, this may help a little bit," he whispered to him. "Here are the parts of it that are silent." He pointed to certain parts on the fidget cube.
As much as Andrew liked the sounds and clicks, and figured Emilio would too, they were still in the middle of rehearsal and couldn't be disruptive.
Emilio looked slightly shocked for a moment, before he gratefully took it. "Thank you... so much. You have no idea how much this helps," he whispered back.
Andrew chuckled quietly. "Actually, I sort of do."
Emilio laughed quietly.
Andrew went back to wandering around the audience and Emilio turned back to the cast on stage.
Mr. Abbott, who had watched the interaction to make sure they weren't disrupting the cast on stage, smiled to himself and made a mental note to tell Mr. Miller later.
He may not have known what they had said, but he knew them well enough and had picked up enough from just what was happening before and during the conversation to be able to tell.
A bit later
Emilio stood next to Kyler and Josh as they watched his foster father.
They had made it to the end of "Seize the Day" and were finishing up blocking.

FanfictionDeclan laughed out loud, looking over from where he sat lazily in a chair. "Andrew can't sing, but he's an amazing actor, that's why he got Teddy Roosevelt and Nunzio," he commented. "And cause they were down an oldsie," Jesse muttered as he watched...
