Chapter 04
I was just silent on our way to the venue.
He just sits on the very side, and I don't know why. He seems allergic to close distance.
They were just randomly talking about anything. I overheard them talking about the disco night that will happen at the party later on.
Aly said exuberantly.
I shook my head.
These girls.
Aly turned to me. "Ice, ah? Disco tayo?"
Before I could even speak, someone from the front voiced out.
"Marunong ka ba sumayaw, Ice?" Zibon was looking at the rearview mirror.
"Palaging hopia 'yan noong elementary kami, Zib.
"Bakit naman?" he asked while still having that darn grin.
"Kasi may sakit raw.
In my defense, I hate to be in the spotlight. Most of the time when it's practice, I'd always insist to put myself somewhere in the back so that by the time I won't show up, the formation won't get ruined. I don't want to be in front of a large crowd. Let alone be in one.
I always tell the teacher to just place me somewhere irrelevant, kahit wala namang bagay na ganoon dahil importante ang position ng bawat isa.
I skipped five presentations back in elementary for the same reason.
"Totoo ba 'yon, Ice?" Zibon asked. My gaze was still locked with his and I feel annoyed because he's making it seem like my anxiety is not valid.
I just moved both of my eyebrows upwards a little and looked away.
"Sasayaw tayo mamaya, Icicle. Kakaladkarin talaga kita," banta ni Alyanna bago humarap.
