"Hey beautiful." Gerard smirked whipping the coffee mate out of my hands when I had finished to fill his own flask, following it up with hot water. "Good morning?"
"I have to go on duty, so for that sake yes." I chuckled, it had been stressful to say the least, but being on duty didn't exactly make it any better. There was honestly nothing I hated more about this job than being on playground duty, if I could get away with not doing it ever I would, but I couldn't get out every time.
"That means no, which is fine, you can tell me on duty." He smiled holding the door open for me, "What has ruined you'r morning my dear?" He asked grazing his hand across my ass lightly as we walked down the empty hallway.
It was obvious he was itching to hold my hand and wish I could just grab his hand, or kiss him, tell him actually I was fine and make him happy too. Eventually he stuffed his hand into his pocket muttering something to himself, before taking a sip of his coffee, he bit the inside of his lip looking down into his coffee. Biting the inside of his lip seemed to be a habit of his, he did it rather a lot, I noticed these things, but I guess you do when you're married to someone do you? Notice all the cute little things they do, of course you notice the not so cute things too, but the cute things were the best.
In actual fact Gerard had a lot of those, cute things, things like biting the inside of his lip. These were the sorts of things he did subconsciously, without even knowing he was doing them, like when he is reading before bed, or on his laptop. What is completely adorable - like a hamster in a plant pot - is when he is reading, or drawing, when he doesn't know you're watching and his glass slide down his nose. But not only do they slide down his nose, he then twitches his nose and pushes them back up, not to mention he usually has a slight smile at him lips, his tongue just poking out on one side.
That was the man I fell in love with, the guy who sits on the couch facing Kyle and I, his glasses falling down his face, his tongue just poking out of his mouth and his pencil to the paper. I fell in love with the man who stared down at the paper intently, drawing with precision as the rest of the room is oblivious to what he is doing. And I adored the man who loved Kyle like his own son, who had more drawings of Kyle and I in his many sketch books than the world has people, the man who never gave up hope, who took me back after everything I did, even though I was a mess.
Only when I walked straight into the door, did I realize I had lost myself whilst staring at Gerard staring into his coffee cup. Stumbling backwards, I shook my head scrunching my nose up in pain, I had walked right into the door, my face smushing up against it and the handle jabbing into my stomach. Ignoring Gerard laughing at me from the other side of the glass double doors, I simply grunted, opening the doors and sticking my tongue out at him.
"There's a door there Frankie." I said through his hysteric laughing, the obvious answer to that would be to be sarcastic, or tell him that was pretty obvious but I just glared at him for a moment.
"Thanks fuck toss." I sneered walking past him bent over against the wall, trying to control his laughing. Honestly I didn't find that funny at all, in actual fact it was painful, but clearly the sadist he is, found it rather hilarious.
"Fuck toss? Did you just call me 'fuck toss'?" He asked following me out onto the playing field, giggling, I shrugged nodding, fuck toss was surely a word, if not I just made it. "You love me really sugar."
"You could say that louder and the whole school would know." I shot back turning to face him, he simply rolled his eyes, "What are you even doing out here, since when were you ever on duty on a Wednesday?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows and suddenly realizing that we had never ever been on duty together on a Wednesday before.
