Adrenaline and fury ran through my veins.

"No!"

My kagune began shining in a color of bloody red.

I dashed to the CCG investigator and hit him right in the stomach.

"Don't."

Slash.

"Touch."

Slash.

"Him!"

Slash.

The CCG investigator flew across the room.

I took a look at Ayato and rushed to him.

I held him in my arms and cried.

"Please be alive.."

No response.

I shook him again.

"Wake up!"

No response.

"You dumbass! Stop fucking around! Open your eyes!"

Still no response.

I kissed his cheek one last time and ran my fingers through his hair.

"Does this mean goodbye?"

A tear rolled down my cheek.

"Goodbye."

I closed my eyes.

And then I heard coughing.

"A-Ayato?"

I opened my eyes.

"Ayato!"

I hugged him closer.

"You scared me you fucker."

He laughed weakly.

"I almost died but I fought for you. I fought for you because I love you. I didn't want to leave you. I'll fight anything just for you. Even the gods if I have to. That's because I love you."
