CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE
THE KISS

ANABELLE DIDN'T REMEMBER the exact moment her head hit the ground, but what she did remember was a Dread Doctor coming at her, grabbing the blonde by the throat before throwing her into a wall. And now, through hazed vision and a splutter of coughs, she watched Liam trying to fight off one of the Doctors, Hayden hiding behind a pillar.

With a cough, Belle screamed out to the Romero girl, pulling herself upwards. "Hayden, run!!!" And Hayden listened, though she wasn't able to get that far before being cornered.

Liam was thrown to the floor, and Belle glanced at him before holding up her arms, scarlet red emerging from her fingertips as she shoved her arms forwards, the Dread Doctors following with it, getting thrown to the side. Breaths growing heavier, she stood up in a struggle, before moving closer, arms moving around her head, throwing anything in her surroundings at the men in metal, most of which they dodged.

A Dread Doctor came up from the side, gripping onto her arm, and she lifted the other one to hit him with her power, though a shock of pain rushed through her wrist as it grabbed that one too, pulling her closer with a grunt. Belle tried to kick it, though it had used its strength to send her across the room, falling into Liam with a cry.

Another ache in her head when she hit the side, and the Dunbar boy held her in his grip, the blonde looking up at him through her lashes.  Liam's fangs were barred, eyes gleaming yellow, contrasting against the tint of vermilion painted over hers, gradually getting more vibrant the angrier she got. He sent her a nod, trying to push Belle up again. Hearts beating in an unusual rhythm, though somehow— they beat the same.

Suddenly, a powerful roar had vibrated through the club. Scott's battle cry. Eyes burning a deep crimson, face formed animalistic. Liam and thrown himself upwards, attacking the Dread Doctor though soon enough, he'd ended up on the floor with a groan.

Scott leapt forwards, sending his claws in the Doctor's direction, though it hadn't been enough to weaken him, and so Belle had used to her magic to hold it in it's place, whilst her Alpha kicked and fought, though when the Dread Doctor had broke free, taking Scott's hands and head-butting the boy, sending him into a pillar— another roar had been heard.

Less powerful, but just as terrifying.

Isaac had appeared, jumping onto the Doctor and spinning it around before clawing at its face, though it had ducked- and the Lahey boy was sent into the same pillar, landing on Scott with a thump.

"How do we fight it?!" She called out, looking at her hands, fingertips blending into a charcoal black from where she was using magic a little too much. And with a giant push, the girl had ripped a light from the ceiling, throwing it at the Dread Doctor, which had caught it off-guard, hunching over.
