Y/N was with Kate at her penthouse, while he was asleep in a chair Kate was on her bed, both were thinking.
"Is this how you solve crimes?" Kate asks as Y/N looked confused. "You know, when you investigated those murders the other month?"
"Oh, you mean how I find out the culprit, usually it's more than sitting and thinking, there's stuff like DNA and all that, but...I suppose there is a fair amount of sitting around brooding over things." Y/N said as he smiled.
"Should we contact Clint."
"You have any spare bow's?" Y/N asked as Kate looked up to a bow on her wall.
"Yeah."
"Then let's suit up and stop Clint from doing anything stupid." Y/N said bringing up the tracker on his phone.
"Where is he?"
"He's at the...he's saying goodbye to my mother." Y/N said as Kate looked at him. "He's got a plan, let's stake it out before we do anything."
"Okay, are we going now?"
"Not yet. He's gonna be getting ready. I'll let you know when we need to move out." Y/N said as he set the phone on the table next to him and positioned it so that the screen was visible to him.
"You mind if I ask you something?"
"I'm gonna regret this but go on." Y/N answered as he relaxed in the chair.
"When Yelena was with us last night, you were calm up until she mentioned Kitty Pryde, who was she?" Kate asked as Y/N paused for a moment.
"Kitty, she was my childhood sweetheart. I had a major crush on her since I was five and I first met her, over time we became friends, went out together when we were old enough to, we had a thing, nothing you know...sexual ever happened."
"Sounds like you loved one another, what happened?"
"Kate, I'm not just one of the X-Men, I'm the last of the X-Men."
"What happened to them?"
"There was a threat, a mutant that threatened everyone, we tried every possible solution, talking to the. Fighting them. nothing. In the end we were left with one choice, we created a device that would transport all mutants to another universe, another timeline. I was the only one who could do it and live, not even Wolverine would have survived it. So...I set it off, sent them all to another universe, another timeline."
"I'm so...sorry." Kate said as Y/N nodded.
"They're not dead, I just can't ever see them again. I've had to move on, make sure that the world is kept safe so it wasn't for nothing, so I do what I can, in memory of them, and in memory of my mom. Most importantly, I never kill." Y/N said as Kate smiled at him. She looked at him a saw him immediately blush.
"I appreciate you telling me that. Come on, cheer up, I don't want your crazy aunt hunting me down cause I made her nephew cry." Kate said as Y/N laughed.
"Which one, Aunt Laura or Aunt Yelena?" Y/N said with a smirk.
"Either, and if I ever meet Laura, I'm so snitching you up for that." Kate said as they left the penthouse to track down Clint whose signal was now on it's way to an abandoned car dealership.
Clint had Maya trapped after he took out each member of her gang silently, he was warning her to leave him and his family alone, then he told her about who informed him on where Maya's father was. She tripped him up and was about to kill Clint with his own sword but Kate's arrow knocked the sword from Maya's hands, distracting her long enough for Clint to escape.
Y/N was on the rooftops waiting for any sign of Yelena, being one of the few with the training to fight her was the biggest aspect. As he waited Kate ran past him and tapped him on the shoulder telling him to follow her. Kate climbed down and landed next to Clint while Y/N jumped down, tucking and rolling to recover from the drop before following Kate and Clint.
"You Tabitha?" a driver said as Kate got in the car.
"Yup." She answered as Y/N and Clint got in the car.
"Y/N--"
"I know. Uncle Clint...we all say things we regret every now and then. They're not what matters, words are just words, actions, they're what define us." Y/N said as he nodded solemnly. Kate smiled at Y/N being willing to forgive Clint even after what he said.
An hour later they were eating at Grills' apartment, Clint and Grills were sat at the table eating while Y/N was with Kate telling stories, she was lying with her back on his chest and her head resting on his shoulder as he ran his hand through her hair.
"Thank you." Y/N said as Kate looked at him confused.
"For what?"
"For not seeing me differently after hearing about what I did." Y/N said as Kate turned so she was lying on her front before kissing Y/N.
"Y/N...I um--"
"I like you." Y/N said cutting Kate off.
"Snap." She said as she began to kiss him passionately until the heard Kate's phone ping.

Kate had a look of shock on her face as a video came through from Yelena.
"Hey, you okay?" Y/N asked as Kate showed him her phone.
"Who's that with my Mom?" She asked as Y/N's face dropped.
"Shit, shit, shit fucking shit. Clint we got a problem!" Y/N called as he pressed play on the video.
"Y/N who is he?" Kate asked as Y/N nervously rubbed the back of his head.
"He's who we've been worried about this whole time. His name is Wilson Fisk. A.K.A. Kingpin. I've been looking into him since before the blip but nothing I've found has ever stuck. He's the one case I haven't been able to close." Y/N said as he looked at Kate gravely.
The video showed Fisk and Eleanor talking, Eleanor said she was quitting from helping Fisk.
"I wouldn't recommend coming after me Fisk, now I have two insurance policies, The backups of everything we've been doing all these years locked away safely where I know they are, and I know someone who would be more than willing to help the mother of his girlfriend." Eleanor said as Kate looked to Y/N.
"Who would that be, who are you going to send after me a cop?"
"The Vigilante." Eleanor said as Y/N's face dropped.
