Y/N was stood on the rooftop overlooking his city, the city he had sworn to protect, Tony had made him a grapple gun so he could reach higher buildings if he wanted to, and right now he was stood on the corner ledge of the Empire State building overlooking the entire city, his long coat billowing in the wind.

He watched as the sun rose over the horizon, the city began to wake up and it was time for him to start heading home, he looked down at the drop and thought about what he was about to do.
"This would be a cool way to die." Y/N muttered to himself as he held his arms out and jumped, he fired his grapple and he pulled it off, his first ever Leap of Faith.

When Y/N got back to the tower where he found Nat and Clint watching 'Don Jon' on the TV.
"Can't believe Fury sent you undercover for this." Clint said as Nat saw Y/N.
"Hey, how was patrol?" Nat asked as Y/N took a swig out of his water bottle from the fridge.
"Therapeutic." Y/N said smartly as he headed to his room, there was one more loose end to tie up. He locked his door and clicked on an email from six months ago, it was sent by Kitty and he still hadn't opened it, when he opened it the email contained a video. Y/N clicked on play.
Kitty appeared on the screen.
"Hey Y/N, I'm gonna be honest right now, if you're watching this then the likelihood is that I died in the fight tomorrow, I might not but you know, always be prepared right. I know you're probably blaming yourself for what's probably going to happen tomorrow, so I'm gonna ask something from you...consider it my last request, forgive yourself, or at the very least...use what you're feeling to do good for others, find a way to help people. Because we don't blame you Y/N. I want you to promise me something, no matter what happens, you have to keep fighting for good. Goodbye Y/N."
Y/N was watching the video and crying, Natasha had managed to get a peak through the door and saw the video, she decided he needed to watch it, he needed closure. When Nat headed to her room she changed into her gym clothes and headed to the training room to begin her warm up, giving Y/N time to finish watching the video and to change into his training clothes. When Y/N arrived he was wearing a grey shirt, dark blue cargo pants and a pair of black trainers.
"You ready?" Nat asked as Y/N smiled and nodded. Nat threw a pair of padded gloves to Y/N who caught the gloves and put them on.
Y/N and Nat sparred for hours at a time, taking breaks regularly as they trained in different forms of martial arts, Natasha could see that Y/N was totally committed to the new life he had given himself, he was totally committed to being The Vigilante, he was totally committed to the silent promise he made at Ben's funeral.
She watched him train on the punching bags when they were doing their own exercises, she watched her son push himself past the limit, push himself to the point where there was no limit. She didn't feel anger towards him, she didn't feel worry about what would happen to him, she felt pride, pride in her son who has devoted everything to ensuring that no one will have to suffer what he suffered when he lost the X-Men, that no young child will go through what Peter went through after Bens death. To Natasha, Y/N was no longer just a stubborn and angry little boy who got into fights, he was a legend. An Avenger of the wrongs that had been dealt to innocent people for so long, he was what The Avengers were meant to be, a symbol of good.
Later that night Y/N was at the Police precinct investigating word that the Police Captain wanted to talk to him.
He waited on the roof of the building when he heard the door open and a woman walked out, with a pack of cigarettes.
"So, you're the Vigilante? Captain Yuriko Watanabe. You can call me Yuri."

"Nice to meet you Captain, what can I help you with?" Y/N said calmly as the Captain leaned against the railing on the edge of the building.
"I want you to keep up the good work, stopping crimes, all that stuff and from time to time when we need you we'll let you in on a case. In return I'll make sure that the police in this city know you're on our side, that's less people shooting at you, and I can provide you with whatever you need to solve cases or assistance along those lines. We got a deal?"
"What's in it for you?" Y/N said as Yuri smiled.
"I was appointed to clean this city up, protect and serve and all that crap, I saw what you can do in a few nights, criminals are running scared for fear of the Vigilante in the night or our mutual friend Spider-Man in the day. I want to clean up this city and sometimes doing what's right required unorthodox methods, so, I want a partnership with you, What about you, what are you looking for out of this? Payback?" Yuri said extending her hand to Y/N. The boy hesitated before shaking the police Captain's hand.
"Payback, Justice, Vengeance, I'm looking for the whole game. Captain, you got yourself a deal." Y/N said as Yuri smiled, their joy was short lived when Yuri's radio went haywire.
"Watanabe here, what is it?"
"Ma'am we got a bank job in process at the JP Morgan Chase Bank and they have hostages inside." the officer on the radio said as Yuri turned away for a brief moment.
"Get SWAT ready but don't go in yet we can't afford to endanger the hostages..." Yuri turned around to see Y/N had seemingly vanished into thin air. "And I'm sending special backup to the bank."
