The Fall

Y/N was in the grave yard looking at his mother's headstone, holding some flowers, the place was silent, it was one of the few places where he could just sit and think without interruption. Well, unless your cool , badass and slightly scary Aunt arrives, Y/N just sat there as he hear Yelena's footsteps approach.

"I thought I'd find you here. Kate told me what happened with the X-Men coming back, well I could gather that inbetween the swearing and all the rest of it." Yelena said as she knelt down next to her nephew by the grave of Natasha Romanoff. "You're thinking that if they can come back maybe Tony and your mother can too."

"How'd you guess?" Y/N asked as Yelena pulled him in for a side on hug.

"I was using my Auntie super powers." Yelena joked as Y/N let out a small smile and a chuckle. "And because I know if I were you I'd be thinking the same thing as well."

"When I was in a coma I had two dreams, the second one was more of a nightmare but the first one was on Vormir, I saw her and Tony, I spoke to them, they were both there. So I was thinking that maybe there is a way to bring them back, that place acted like it's own universe. Perhaps it is, they called it a plain, Red Skull said that if I gave up on that cliff then I would remain on that plain for eternity. What if that's it, people from every universe are slipping through, what if just once the universe was deciding to help us." Y/N said sounding like a raving madman.

"Y/N, I don't think so, I don't even think we should, as much as it pains my, believe me it hurts everyday to think that she's gone for good, we have to accept it. They're both gone." Yelena said as Y/N nodded. "I wish I could bring her back but the risks are too high, too many people could get hurt, we barely know anything about the multiverse, I think we should leave stuff like that to Wanda and Strange."

There was a silence before Yelena spoke.

"Do you mind if I ask you something?"

"Go ahead." Y/N answered.

"Can, can you tell me exactly what happened on Vormir, when she died, I need to know." Yelena said as Y/N looked at her for a moment before nodding.

Vormir, 2014 (Endgame Time Travel):

'We arrived on Vormir looking for the soul stone, when we reached the top of the big cliff I climbed in my dream, we were faced by a hooded figure that claimed to be the guide to the soul stone, it was the Red Skull, he said that in order to get the stone someone had to die.'

"I'll do it." Y/N said as Natasha looked at him dumbfounded by his words.

"No. That's not happening."

"Why not? Mom someone needs to die, I'm not gonna let you or Clint die, Clint's got kids and a wife while you, despite my hatred for him, have Bruce, you have a sister, a mother, a father. If I die I'll finally have done something to truly make up for...for her." Y/N said looking at the photo of him and Kitty.

"Y/N you're not doing it...I am." Nat said as she shot Y/N with a widows bite and threw Clint to the ground before running to the edge of the cliff, Y/N grappled her and pulled her back away from the cliff before running to the edge of the cliff himself but Natasha used the same trick he had just used of pulling him back using her grapple and then tackling Clint to the ground. Y/N stood up and ran over to Clint before knocking him out and making the fight 1 on 1.
