"I let her down, just like I let Natasha down. I might as well have killed her myself when she found me in that base, everywhere I go death touches those I love. Mom, Tony, The X-Men, Wanda lost her husband because I failed." Y/N said as Wanda looked at him, her eyes glassy as she walked up to Y/N and embraced him.
"Y/N, my idiot baby brother. Hey listen to me. Vision...he's dead because of Thanos, not you, Tony sacrificed himself to save the world not because you failed, Natasha died because she decided the world needed you and Clint more than her. You are not to blame. How long have you been blaming yourself like this?" Wanda said kneeling down in front of Y/N, the boy simply looked at her, his face said it all. "Oh my-- how could you keep a brave face while hating yourself that much?"
Wanda hugged Y/N as Yelena joined in and kissed her nephew on the forehead.
"I'm going on patrol, I need some air." Y/N said as Wanda and Yelena let out a solemn nod and let Y/N past, he stepped outside and headed to the compound where he suited up and headed out into New York, he was waiting on the precinct roof for five minutes before Yuri arrived.
"Sorry I kept you, just working The Scientist for everything." Yuri said as Y/N nodded.
"My partner's in a stable condition for now, though she'll need time out of the field to recover. What have you got from him?"
"Not much, says if he was to talk it'd be to you, and you only." Yuri answered as Y/N sighed.
"I need you to do me a favor." Y/N asked as Yuri shrugged.
"You brought him in, I guess I owe you at least one favor."
"I'll owe you for this, I need a DNA sample, I want to confirm something he told me, I need to know if he was trying to trick me or not." Y/N said calmly as Yuri looked at him.
"A DNA sample, I'd hardly call that much of a favor, hell, if it were up to me I would have had one sent to you to see if you could get a name."
"If I do I'll send it over ASAP." Y/N said as Yuri looked him in the eyes.
"Here, the guys chipped in for these. Can't officially give them to you but you earned them tonight." Yuri said as she handed Y/N two boxes with medals. "Before you turn them down, telling you to take them was me pulling rank."
Y/N smirked under his mask as he put the boxes in his pocket and secured it shut.
"Thank you." Y/N answered as Yuri smiled.
"Mind if I ask what you hope to find with this guy's DNA?"
Y/N let the question hang in the air for a moment.
