Y/N had just got back from the patrol with the team, Kate was sitting in the bedroom at hers and Y/N's house she was reading a book when she heard the front door open and Peter come through the spare room window at the same time.
"Honey I'm home!" Y/N called out as Kate smirked at him using the cliche. When the bedroom door opened Kate saw Y/N with a slight cut on his arm.
"Hey, how was Patrol?"
"We got a few leads but nothing solid, I spent some time trying to figure out how I got you pregnant, and it has me thinking back to when we fought the scientist, the first time, he told me that we both had versions of the super serum running through our veins, I didn't believe him at the time but it's starting to make sense."
"But how come you didn't know about the serum?"
"Because it wasn't on my official file, this was an off the records experiment, and I was too young to remember. Apparently I wasn't the only baby that they gave it to, but I was one of three who survived. According to these files I dug up, I survived by the skin of my teeth. It upgraded me somehow but it doesn't say, my guess is that it reversed the sterilization, they apparently planned to give me more doses but Mom and Uncle Clint saved me before they could."
"So they only gave you one dose?"
"Yeah, and it was hardly enough to completely change my physiology, perhaps with the small amount they gave me all it could do was reverse the sterilization." Y/N said as Kate looked at Y/N. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be treating it as some new puzzle to wrap my brain around-"
"Hey, you don't need to apologize, you wanted to find out how something that you thought was impossible happened, you were looking for answers and you got some amount of closure with them, I can't be mad at you for being cautious and curious. Besides, you being curious is how we first found each other." Kate said as Y/N smiled but Kate saw through it.
"Are you worried about something else, is it Kitty, because it's alright for you to worry about her, she's your friend, former crush too but she's still your friend and I know you love me, I think I've got all the evidence to that." Kate said as she glanced at her tummy.
"It's partly that and something else."
"What?"
"What if I end up being a bad father to this kid, I mean, I haven't got the best track record for fathers, one sold to an evil organization and the other done a runner for years." Y/N blurted out as Kate looked at him in understanding.

"Hey, this kid is gonna have the leader of the New Avengers and one of the leaders of The Avengers as their father, they're gonna have the you, and you are the most kind, loving, honorable, funny and wise man I've ever had the privilege to know. Look at me, what did you do during the blip?"
"I worked with Yuri to wipe out crime in this city as the Vigilante."
"See, half the universe was gone, Wanda, Peter, Jessica, Yelena, Sam, Bucky, they were all gone, you didn't let that stop you from protecting the innocent because you knew that you still needed to do the right thing, and you know what I bet Natasha would say the same thing if she was here, she would be so proud of you. I am too, I'm proud of you babe, you're the best thing to happen to me. I love you." Kate said as Y/N just smiled and hugged her as she gently embraced him and ran her hand through his hair.
The next morning Y/N was awoken by the smell of toast burning, he walked downstairs to see Peter throwing the toast in the bin and then turn to notice Y/N.
"Hey, I was gonna make you two breakfast as a thank you but well-"
"Guess that idea went up in flames." Y/N quipped as Peter laughed at the wise crack.
"I was about to say that." Peter said as Y/N grabbed some ingredients.
"Yeah well go get yourself ready for the day I'll cook for us, see if Mom's lessons were useful." Y/N said as Pete smirked.
"What you gonna make?"
"Never you mind, it's a surprise, you just go and get ready." Y/N said as Pete ran up the stairs to change out of his pajamas. "FRIDAY, gimme some music."
FRIDAY began to play Thunderstruck by AC/DC.
"Oh man I love Led Zepplin!" Peter said as Y/N looked at him with a glare taught to him by Natasha and Wanda, 'taught' of course meaning he'd been given the death glare by the two women so much he knows how to do it himself.
"This is AC/DC, Dad would be flipping his shit right now."
"Bruce doesn't listen to this."
"Not talking about him, I'm talking about Tony and Steve."
"Steve listened to this stuff?"
"every now and then, I recommended it to him after he found me sitting in my room listening to it."
"Wait, why'd you call them dad then?" Peter asked not knowing how close Y/N, Tony and Steve were.
"Okay, guess it's story time." Y/N said as he heard Kate come down the stairs.
"Story time, ooh, sounds fun. Something smells nice."
"Yeah. So after Kermit The Frogs buff cousin, A.K.A, Bruce, ran away, I didn't have a father figure for a short while but over time Tony and Steve started to treat me like I was their own son, they were like fathers to me, so I started calling them Dad and Papa cap, the latter of which Mom suggested, she might have had the hots on Steve for a while after Bruce left us." Y/N said as Kate and Peter looked shocked.
"Wait, so your Mom dated both Hulk and Cap?" Peter asked as Y/N shook his head.
"I think she fancied Steve to begin with but she got closer with Bruce and fell for him, but then he left without a word so the feeling of betrayal left her wanting someone else and then her feelings for Steve sort of were amplified." Y/N said as Peter looked at Y/N.
"Cool, I'm sorry for hitting your Dad at the airport in Germany." Peter said as Y/N nodded.
"Not your fault Tony and Steve started acting like a pair of toddlers fighting over somethin' stupid. Whole thing was stupid, those accords...they messed a lot up, most of all they might as well be the reason behind the blip." Y/N said as Peter looked confused.
"How?"
"In my eyes, those accords split the Avengers apart, put too much red tape up for them to stop Thanos, bureaucracy has no place in events such as that. If we didn't have the Accords then the Avengers would have stuck together, yeah Tony would have been pissed off about Bucky and his parents but to a lesser extent, the avengers would have been united against Thanos in Wakanda and we likely would have won. Just my thoughts." Y/N said as Peter sighed, he knew Y/N was biased against the accords thanks to the effect they had on his family, he blamed the accords because they divided the team and made it easier for Zemo to tear the team apart. The Accords were a good idea to Y/N, but the delivery of them was poor, they were being forced on the Avenger with an ultimatum, agree or retire/prison.
"Y/N I get what your saying but the accords are meant to protect people."
"They didn't protect Wanda when Ross had her on the RAFT. Now...enough gloomy talk, it's breakfast, eat up." Y/N snapped slightly before regaining his composure. "Sorry, I shouldn't have snapped like that."
"It's okay, it's a heated topic." Peter said as he smiled at Y/N and they all ate their waffles and pancakes.
