Pepper: What's this team going to be called?
Y/N: ...The Young Avengers
Pepper: That's a TERRIBLE name...What about the New Avengers.
Y/N: You know, that kind of sound good...Okay, the New Avengers.
2 Weeks Later:
Y/N was sitting in the Compound looking through the potential candidates for the New Avengers.
"Anyone?" Kate said as she sat next to him.
"Found a few promising young recruits. Check it out." Y/N said playing a video of a young girl in a fight against two thugs trying to mug her, her fists grew as she attacked her.

"Her name is Kamala Kahn, she's what some people have labelled an inhuman, I'd call her really fucking unlucky, a while ago terrorists used a terrigen bomb, it awakened her powers. Next up, Harley Keener. In 2012 Tony Stark invited someone known as The Mandarin to attack him, ending in the destruction of Tony's malibu house, it was actually a pretty cool place not gonna lie. Any way Tony had to flee, and fell asleep at the wheel so to say ending up with him stranded in Tennessee with his suit damaged and in need of repairs, Tony encountered Keener and they...helped each other, in a broad sense of the word. The kid has since been working on something and was slated to join the Stark Internship but after Tony died I guess he didn't want to reopen that wound." Y/N explained as Kate watched the videos.
"Anyone else?" Kate asked as Y/N brought up a video.
"Yeah, Miles Morales, until recently he simply had the same abilities as the old Spider-Man, but a few months ago he was kidnapped by a HYDRA splinter group, he was experimented on by scientists and it triggered his powers to explode, but he survived, since then he's been seen with powers beyond that of old Spider-Man." Y/N said as Kate looked at the video.

"Do we have a real base of operations aside from the compound?" Kate asked as Y/N smiled at her.
"We do actually, considering that superhero duties are probably going to interfere with school, I've come up with a plan. Follow me." Y/N said as he headed to the garage and got into the 4 seat electric sports car, Thor had jokingly called it Mjolnir because of how fast it was but Scott...simply called it Johnathan.
They drove off until they came up on an old estate with vines covering the name.

"Y/N, what is this place?" Kate asked as Y/N took a breath.
"This is where I grew up, in more ways than one." Y/N said as he parked the car and they walked into the large mansion. "This is...was Xavier's school for gifted youngsters. Now It's Natasha's school for gifted youngsters."
Kate looked at Y/N, he seemed genuinely excited, like the weight of his past had finally been lifted.
"How long were you here for?"
"2011 - 2013. It was one of the few places that felt like home to me at the time." Y/N said as Kate saw Y/N smile at her.
"And what have we got to work with here?"
"Well, as I said being a superhero is going to interrupt with these kids educations if they keep having to leave class to save someone, so instead, they're going to receive tutelage here, I've gone to the effort of bringing in a few recruits/staff members already. Peter Parker has offered to work here as a science teacher, I'm an English teacher, Clint's been looking for a quiet job, Laura wanted him to work on something, could be anything but actually seeing combat, so he's our fitness teacher, Bucky has thrown his hat into the ring to be a History teacher, Peter Quill offered to do the Math (Maths) job but I kindly turned him down, Parker said he wasn't that good at math last he seen. So, seeing as Yelena is one of this teams founding members and she's also staying her for a while until she's gotten rid of Madame Bitch, Yelena has taken the Math job." Y/N said as Kate looked at him with an eyebrow raised.
"You, a teacher?"
"What? I'm good at English, ask Peter, I aced English, and most subjects come to think of it."
"So let me get this straight, some of the Avengers have volunteered to teach here, why did they do that?"
"Likely because the one good thing about this team, we're not The Avengers, meaning...no Sokovia Accords stopping us from doing our job." Y/N said as Kate looked at him.
"I thought the Sokovia Accords were signed by the Avengers."
"Some of the Avengers, since then the team had a falling out over it, half the universe was used to grit the path, reversing the snap cost me my mother...I'd say it was stopping us from actually fighting Thanos because we had to wait for the UN to give the call and they were...it's long and annoying to tell, can we move on." Y/N said as Kate nodded at him.
"We have a hangar where The old beauty herself is parked, the X-Jet. We have dorms, if the children wish to stay at school or if they have nowhere to go. We have every facility we might need. and through here we have the training room." Y/N said as Kate saw his face he was jolly, the thought of finally seeing this place being used for it's true purpose again after so long was making Y/N as giddy as a school boy.
"Y/N, of all the places, why here?" Kate asked as Y/N paused for a beat.
"Because...this place...it's the reason I became the Vigilante, what happened here, I vowed it would never happen again, and this team is going to ensure that, so it's more of a reminder for me of who I am. This place was built to allow people who the outside world wouldn't accept a chance at something, a chance to be greater by coming together, I want it to serve that purpose again." Y/N said earning a smile from his girlfriend.
"It will, Y/N, it will." Kate affirmed Y/N with a smile on her face.
