Everett stood there with a shit eating grin as Y/N looked at him with a glare to rival his mother's.
"What do you want Ross?" Y/N asked as Kate saw the hatred her boyfriend had for this man.
"Following up on a lead. You've been accused of harboring a Russian agent." Everett said as Y/N immediately knew who he was referring to. Y/N turned to see Kate with a cut on her cheek and a few grazes on her knuckles, he turned back to see Everett's sovereign ring with a spatter of blood on it and his knuckles bruising.
"She actually works for the US Government, alongside John Walker." Y/N said calmly as he looked Everett in the eyes.
"Yeah, not anymore. Where is she?" Everett asked.
"I don't know, last time I saw her was Christmas Day." Y/N said coldly. "Last I heard she was having a very disgruntled word with her boss."
"Y/N what are they doing with Lucky?!" Kate called as Y/N ran in to see an agent trying to take the dog from Kate.
"Leave the dog alone-!"
"Or what?" Everett asked cockily as Y/N had to restrain himself. "Take her and the dog, keep taking stuff, eventually he'll tell us where Belova is."
Agents grabbed Kate from behind, she fought them off and knocked two of them out as Y/N knocked out another agent, he activated his widows bites and aimed it at Everett while Kate checked up on Lucky.
"Kate...take the dog and go somewhere safe, now." Y/N said as he pulled out his phone and dialed Yuri's number.
"Watanabe here."
"Hello Captain, it's Y/N, we've had a break in at Kate's place. Send your least irritating people and an ambulance. Oh no, no, no. We're fine, it's the burglar, he's got himself rather badly injured...well a few broken ribs, a fractured skull...suspected punctured lung. He fell out of a window." Y/N said as he hit Everett with the widows bite after hanging up the phone.
Kate was loading up the car when she heard a loud crash from the trash dumpsters around the corner.
10 minutes later:
As the ambulance drove away with Everett in the in back of it being treated by the medics.
"Exactly how many times did he fall out of the window?" Yuri asked as Y/N turned to her.
"I can't really say, I stopped counting after the tenth." Y/N said as Yuri looked at him and smiled at him.
"I'll put it down as self-defense." Yuri stated as Y/N nodded a thank you. He walked over to Kate and kissed her.
"Hey, you're alright." Y/N said as he and Kate got into the car and began driving back to the Sanctum. When they arrived Y/N helped Kate into the Sanctum all while Strange was looking at him and shaking his head.
"No, Kate can stay for her safety but not the dog."
"Dog's staying, simple as that, besides, he's trained, Kate can take him out for a walk, better yet Wanda can, she could do with socializing every now and then." Y/N said as Wanda saw the cut on Kate's cheek. Wanda guided Kate and Lucky away to help them settle down while Strange argued with Y/N.
"Kid I'm helping Wanda because I have to and I willing to help Kate as a thank you for saving my ass against Thanos-"
"They're threatening my family Stephen, The government is threatening my last remaining family, they're hunting my Aunt like a dog. If you do this for me, I'll never ask another favor of you ever again?" Y/N snapped as he Strange paused before nodding.
"Okay, but if that dog craps anywhere in the Sanctum, you're paying the cleaning bill." Strange said as Y/N nodded.
Y/N walked into the room where Wanda was talking to Kate and petting Lucky, they all turned to see him with a defeated look on his face.
"Y/N?..." Kate said as she saw him pull out his phone and hover over a number.
"Kate, I'm gonna have to work alone on this one. I don't want you getting arrested for being a part of this." Y/N said as Kate stood up and walked up to him shaking her head.
"Hey, we're partners through and through."
"I know, that's why I'm doing this, I want to be certain that in the event of me being arrested that at least one of us is able to do this job, I need you to trust me." Y/N said as he kissed her forehead. Y/N left and suited up before heading to the precinct where Yuri worked.
He was on the rooftop for around ten minutes until Yuri joined him.
"You hear about your partners place?" Yuri asked as Y/N nodded.
"Yeah, I appreciate you helping her with that."
"Thank that boyfriend of hers." Yuri said as Y/N smiled under his mask.
"I'll be sure to. So, any word around town?"
"A Fisk owned bank was hit today by this guy." Yuri said as she handed Y/N a photo.

"The Scientist. An Avenger warned me about this guy. What was the scene like?"
"Every single cent was gone, and the guys that were part of his crew, it makes me sick thinking about it." Yuri said as Y/N wondered what was so terrifying that it made her unable to talk. "We found one body nailed to the wall, the guy was castrated and had his balls shoved into his own mouth. Another guy was found looking like he had been rotting for weeks, he was not far from a skeleton, and the other he had began eating himself. The worst part, was their eerie smiles on their faces, like they all enjoyed it, laughing at the whole thing."
"This guy was a scientist for HYDRA so he might have made his own chemical that has the laughing effect." Y/N thought aloud as Yuri looked at him.
"After everything I just told you how are you not phased?" She asked as Y/N shrugged.
"I've seen much more gruesome scenes. I'll keep an ear to the ground." Y/N said as he began to think to himself.
"By the way, that evidence has let us lock up over half of the Corrupt cops and the contacts that Fisk had, just a few more busts and his influence will be gone for good." Yuri said as Y/N shook his head.
"No...Fisk's influence will live long past his death, law and order just needs to have more influence than he did, the best way of doing that, keep bringing in bad guys." Y/N said as he dived off the roof and swung from his grapple through the city.
