Sophia's POV

I hugged my parents, Niall and Brigid, before taking a seat at the dining room table.

My dad looked like he was about to explode, so I hugged him the longest. He started caressing my back. "Calm down, grandpa Chris. Portia wants to see her grandpa when she is born in five months."

I sat next to my dad and rested my head on his shoulder. Griffin sat next to me.

"Let's eat dinner first. Other than what happened, how was your day, Sophie?" My mom asked me while everyone began fixing their plates.

"It was productive. Today, I gave my students a pop quiz. They groaned but got over it. I need to see how they are progressing in my class. I also told them about you all being the judges for their business pitches. They were excited about that, especially when I mentioned you guys."

"I'm looking forward to it. Monica's business is booming. I even spoke to her parents, and they were grateful for me supporting Monica's dream."

"Hmm, I seem to remember you didn't even want to be a judge until you heard Christian's name," Niall said to Griffin. He rolled his eyes as we chuckled.

"Ha, ha. But that day changed me. I now have a beautiful wife and a baby girl on the way."

"Sophia, honey, how are you feeling?"

"I feel fine, Brigid. I'm just hungry most of the time. I woke Griffin up over the weekend for Fettuccine alfredo. My friend, Janiyah, suggested that I eat five small meals a day. That way, I don't experience heartburn. So far, it has helped."

"I drove Christian nuts when I was pregnant with you. I think I woke your dad up almost every night, and I had heartburn almost every night too. I learned my lesson. My eating habits got better when I was pregnant with Mariah."

"She sure did drive me nuts. I eventually hired a personal chef to cook meals for Morgan so I could get some rest."

My parents are a trip. "Griffin is my personal chef. He told me to wake him up, so when I get the urge for something to eat, that's what will happen."

"I have no reason whatsoever to be mad about waking up. I have the life I always wanted. So, I'm good."

"Sophia, I'm coming with you tomorrow to the University. What time do you usually leave the house in the morning?" My dad asked.

"I usually leave between 7:30 and 7:45 am. So far since I've been a Professor, I haven't encountered early morning rush hour."

"Okay. I'm sure Griffin is coming with you. So I will meet you both at the University."

"Okay, dad. Now, let's really eat our dinner."

******

We sat on my parent's enclosed patio to eat our dessert - German chocolate cake and ice cream. Of course, I added a pickle to my ice cream. Yeah, I joined the club of the many pregnant women who ate pickles with their ice cream. Griffin turned his nose up in the air at me. I made him look away fast when I offered him some. He rolled his eyes at me.
