Sophia's POV
"Mariah? What are you doing here?"
"I had to come, Sophia. You're my sister and the only sibling in my life. I missed you. I know it's only been two days, but that doesn't matter."
"Come inside. I'm not mad at all. I am surprised. I was working on the finals exam for my students." Mariah dragged her luggage inside Shane's penthouse. We then hugged each other.
"How long are you staying?"
"I have the rest of the week off, so I am going to stay until Sunday and spend time with you. I am flying back home on Monday."
"Okay. Thank you for coming. Shane is letting me use one of his SUVs while I am here. And, you have to meet his mom. I'll show you to your room."
"Thanks, Sophie. Let's go out to eat."
"Of course. Let me know when you finish unpacking."
While Mariah unpacks, I am going to make a reservation at Shane's restaurant, The Vine. I love the food so much that I have eaten there every night since coming to New York.

Griffin's POV
Mariah texted me that she and Sophia are going to The Vine. The food there is excellent. Shane told me where Sophia likes to sit, so I made a reservation for Ethan and me.
"Ethan, we have to make sure Sophia and Mariah don't see us. I don't want to scare her away. Mariah is going to get Sophia as relaxed as she can. Then, this weekend, I am going to Shane's penthouse to see her. And, I need you to schedule me off for the next two weeks because we are going on a vacation."
"I'll take care of it while we are traveling to the restaurant."
After stepping off the elevator at my hotel, Ethan and I walked to my SUV. Then, we drove off to the restaurant.

Mariah texted me that she saw my SUV and advised me to wait a few minutes because we arrived at the same time.
Thank goodness I have tinted windows because Mariah and Sophia just walked past my SUV.
"That was close, Griffin."
"Tell me about it." We waited for about fifteen minutes before going inside. Bliss and Shane entered the restaurant shortly after we did.
