Sophia's POV
"Sophia, are you okay? You're shivering," My mom asked me.
"I'm fine. Alessandro cheated on me, and we are done."
"He what?! Why that little......" My dad then said.
"The weird part is I am not upset. I ran outside because I just needed some air. I wore my coat but could use something hot to drink."
"What would you like?" My mom says.
"A shot of tequila." My mother waved one of the waiters over and asked him to get my tequila. I told him thank you before he left. Dinner was being served, and I am starving.
"The girl he cheated with said Alessandro told her I was his sister. But we are planning something for him. He will learn a valuable lesson about two-timing women."
My dinner, along with my tequila was placed before me. "Thank you."
Mom and dad had a variety of dishes for the guests - salmon, shrimp, filet mignon, etc. There were also plenty of side dishes, desserts, and beverages.
I felt nice and warm while I ate my dinner.
"Sophie sweetheart, are you up to helping me with handing out the awards?"
"Yes, dad. I'm not going to let my personal life ruin this night." I followed my dad to the stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time to present the awards to 20 hard-working students. Each of the students will also receive a contribution to help towards' their college education. My daughter will call each student to the platform."
Griffin's POV
Any man in this room can't help but notice how beautiful Ms. Parker really is. And, wow, that dress. She has a beautiful smile that I never saw because she was always upset. Thanks to me. Alessandro is just dumb. Shane was right. I guess I am attracted to her.
But, after what I put her through in class, she wouldn't even think of dating me. A waiter with a tray of wine walked passed. I grabbed two glasses.
"Mr. Kelley, you need to learn how to whisper quietly. You are never going to win her over with that attitude. Do you like her?"
I do need to learn how to be quiet. "Okay, say if I did, she still won't date me. I made her life miserable. And, it's too embarrassing to even talk about." I'm not telling this lady that I had to go back to college. I can't believe I have a crush on my teacher.
"Griffin, is it?"
"Yes. That is my name."
"You're an attractive, billionaire for goodness sake. You can have any woman you want."
