The Airport

I was staring at my alarm clock before it even rang. Today is such a big day and many huge changes were coming in the near future. I got up and brushed my teeth before sitting down on the single-person couch near the window in my bedroom.

My mom had taken all my plants and Mia and she split the food so nothing would go bad. I was also leaving my keys with my mom so she could access the place whenever she needed to.

It's not like I was leaving forever, but so much can happen in a span of three months.

Last night was so hectic and there was so much tension, but I think my quirk gave me an accurate strategy outcome. Aizawa and I were friendly, and Mia did not slip up and mention Justice at the table. It was a win in my book.

I ate my breakfast timidly as I stared out the window, my face bathing in the sun's aggressive rays.

I just couldn't shake why Mia was so upset. I understand that she doesn't want me to give up my life here, but I am so excited! Also, she seemed to care so much about Justice. I wonder if maybe she feels bad for him.

Despite the ups and downs, I will always love her, and I hope she can visit me at some point during my stay. I looked up at my clock and cursed under my breath when I saw it was 1:30pm. I had to be at the airport in a few hours.

I got up, washed my dishes, and took a shower. Looking in the partially, fogged-up mirror, I saw so much excitement in my eyes.

Maybe this was my chance to really stand out as a Pro Hero on the front line for once! Not that I wanted anything bad to happen, but I am tired of just being the strategist. Maybe I can even brush up on my combat skills at some point.

I got to my room and lotioned my skin, brushed and combed my hair in a cute style that made the curls pop everywhere, and picked out my clothes.

I opted for a cute black long-sleeve top with light blue jeans and black sneakers. To add a touch of color, I chose to wear bright neon yellow and purple socks. I began to put my jewelry on and went to brush my teeth before I sat on my bed staring at my phone. This is it. Almost time to go.

I walked to my living room and sat on my phone watching pictures of the man that stole my heart. I couldn't even tell the police when it happened because I didn't even know myself. He just sort of took it.

Dinner yesterday went really well, but I began replaying what Mia said outside afterward. Does Aizawa really not show that we're friends? He came to an impromptu dinner at my place to meet two of the most important in my life. That had to mean something!

I gazed over at the chairs in the small dining area that were filled with so much life yesterday. He sat right there; I can never clean that chair again! Still, I am hopeful that he sees me the same way... if not now, then eventually!

I glanced at the clock and noticed it was already 3:30pm. I sprang up to call a taxi immediately and began bringing my bags onto the porch.

My mom had an appointment today so we said our goodbyes last night. I'm going to miss her so much, and we've been texting almost nonstop today.

As I brought the last of my bags outside, the taxi pulled into the front yard. I waved and went inside to do a final check. Everything was turned off and clean, and all I had to do was lock the door behind me. The driver helped me with my bags and before I knew it, we were speeding down the highway toward the airport.

As I pulled up, I looked at my phone and saw that I was right on time. I didn't see him yet, but I figured he was waiting inside. The taxi driver began lifting my suitcase onto the cart when I heard a deep voice behind me.
