[Chapter 11 - Trust]

Su was walking from the right side to the left side of the room. The atmosphere was dense and everyone looked at Zaheer. He was tied to a chair with platinum handcuffs.

Tenzin, Pema and their family were in the right side; Lin, Kya, Korra and Su's family on the left side.

" Why you're here?" Korra asked toughly

" I wanna help. "

Korra laughed angrily.

" You wanna help, don't you?" She tried to be ironic

" Yes, Avatar. "

" Do you think we're stupid?" Korra asked again with a low voice

" No, Avatar. How can I think that?"

" How can you be so calm?" the avatar yelled at him

" I found my inner peace and I w-"

" Enough!" Korra shouted, entering in the avatar state

" Korra! Calm down. " Jinora yelled at her friend

Slowly, Korra came out of the avatar state.

" You're the same, avatar. " Zaheer said

" Yeah? Then you too! And you're going back to prison! Did you hear me?"

" Yes. " he answered looking sharply at Korra

" How did you escape?" Tenzin asked

" I have my own ways. " he smirked

" Okay, Zaheer. We don't have time for your games! " Lin yelled

" This isn't a game! I really want to help Ikki, she needs me!"

" My daughter doesn't need you!" Tenzin yelled back at him

" Tenzin! Calm down! I wanna hear what he has to say. " Kya said

" What? You lost your mind?" Tenzin asked

" Tenzin, calm down. I'm with Kya." Bumi said going near his sister

" You both are crazy!"

" Shut up, Tenzin. I wanna hear Zaheer's story. " Kya said angrily

The airbender looked confused.

' She really trusts me?' he thought

He looked deep in her blue eyes. She was really on his side. But why? After all , no one trusts him. Why she's so good? He'll figure out that later.

" Look, I know about Ikki's accident and I know that if she doesn't recover in 3 weeks she will remain invalid all her life. Do you really want this, Tenzin?"

" Of course not! But how can you know about my daughter?"

" He felt her energy. " Kya said

" What?" everyone said looking at the waterbender

" Remember when he came to Air Temple with the other airbenders? One night I saw Ikki talking to him and now he's almost the best airbender, sorry bro, but this is the truth and I believe that is a connection between Ikki and Zaheer, right?"

" Right. " Zaheer approved

Everyone was confused and no one said anything.

" Fine, I'll give you a chance, Zaheer. But Kya you should always stay with him." Lin said
