[Chapter 12 - A voice in the night]

" Indeed, we feel sorry for some words we've told or some acts we've done. But these things just can't be taken back. But we can stop doing them instead. Everybody deserves a second chance." Ikki thought

Ikki sighed. It was the middle of the night and a few hours ago she had that first lesson with Zaheer and Kya. She knew that she had to unlock her seven chakras to be normal again, but it was way to hard then she thought it would be.

" I can't let you go. No. I don't want to let you go. " Ikki whispered

" But you have to. "

Ikki turned around to see a sad looking Huan.

" No, I don;t have to. "

" Ikki, don't be stubborn. You have to recover. Give up on me. "

" What matters if I recover if now I'm supposed to give up my whole world?"

" Your whole world?" he said with a broken voice

" Yes, Huan. You're my whole world. Of course, there are people who love me and I love them too but since I was only a child I realized that you're my soulmate."

" What's a soulmate, Ikki?"

" Someone that is supposed to be with you. "

" Look, Ikki.."

" Huan, I love every part of you, every thought and word...the entire complex, fascinating bundle of all the things you are. I want you with ten different kinds of need at once. I love all the seasons of you, the way you are now, the thought of how much more beautiful you'll be in the decades to come. I love you for being the answer to every question my heart could ask. And it seemed so easy to love you. It seemed natural and right. "

" That was...deep. "

Ikki laughed.

" So formal, Huan, so formal. "

" Oh, Ikki, I don't ...like you anymore. "

" You're saying this because this is the truth or because you want me to give up on you. " she said crying

" This..is the truth. " he lied

" Huan, I don't care."

" What?"

" I would have sold my soul for you. You and me...I told you. Something's always going to keep us near each other...even if we aren't together."

" Ikki, give up, this isn't going to happen. " he said leaving

"You're the fire burning inside of me." she whispered

A coughing was heard near the window.

" Who's there?"

" Me. " a cranky voice said

" Toph?"

" Yeah."

" What you're doing here?"

" I heard you two talking. "

" What?"

" I just wanna tell you one thing. "

" What is it?"

" He lied. "

" So? I still need to give up on him. "

" Why?"

" Because Zaheer said too?"

" Because I have to recover."

" Ikki, remember one thing love makes you fly. "

" What does that mean? Wait, Toph don't go!" Ikki yelled after the greatest earthbender but the old woman was already gone

The moon was on the sky surrounded by stars, everyone was sleeping now because it was 3 am, but a waterbender was on a terrace. She was in her comfy pyjamas and her gray hair was surrounding her shoulders.

" You couldn't sleep?" a husky voice asked her from behind

" Zaheer? That's you?"

" You didn't answer ." he laughed

" It's a full moon up there and it's pretty cool to stay outside to talk to Yue."

" Who's Yue?"

" The moon spirit, when my mom was 13 she met Princess Yue, the princess of the northern water tribe, my uncle fell for her but then when an idiot killed the moon spirit Yue gave up her life to bring balance to the world. She was a hero. "

" That's one sad story. "

" I know, but I'm sure that every night with full moon my mom is awake and outside at the south pole talking to her friend and with her brother because I'm so sure that now Uncle Sokka is so happy that he met Yue again. His first love, " she sighed

" Why everything is about love?"

" Maybe because love is surrounding us. "

" Maybe. "

" Yeah. "

" Kya?"

" Yeah?"

" You're married?" he asked pointing out her necklace

" I was. He died a long time ago. "

" Sorry. "

" Don't be. I got used to this, I mean he's in a better place now. He escaped from this hell. "

" Yes. P'li is happy now and my friends too. "

" I'm sure they are. "

" I just wanna be happy too. "

" Maybe you can. "

" How?"

" You have to find the right person, then you can spend your life with that person and everything will be okay in the end. "

" And what if is not okay?"

" Then is not the end. "

" Right. " he said looking deep in the waterbender's eyes

" Zaheer?"

" Yes?"

" You're on your side, right? I mean you don't have any plan or something like that, right?"

He sighed

" What? Um n-no.Why?"

" Because I think I just found my right person and I don't wanna lose it again. "

He smiled sadly.

" I wouldn't be your right person."

" Why?" she joked

" I-I ..um"

" I think you can change. "

" Kya. "

" And I'm gonna prove it. Tomorrow at 10 am, we're meeting here to go to a date. "

" A date?I'm not a teenager! "

" See ya tomorrow. "

" You're crazy. "
