[Chapter 27 - Ready]

Ikki and Huan had a lot of decisions to make. Almost all the pressure was on their shoulders.

They had three more days until Sapphire will attack, that's what the woman said.

Huan said that they should marry before the battle, but Ikki wasn't so sure.

" Look, Ikki, what if in the battle someone will die ?" Huan whispered in her ear

" No, Huan, how can you say that ?" Ikki cried

" This is the truth, Ikki. We can't win all the time, also if what Zaheer said was true then Sapphire is two times more powerful than Kuvira, and you know what happened that day, " he said

" Of course, I know that the day of the colossus was a living nightmare for all of us, but...I don't want to think that...I could lose you. I can't imagine a life without you, Huan...I...I am so afraid. " the girl cried

" Shh, sweetheart, It's okay to be afraid. I'm a little scared too, you know? You and Korra have to fight face-to-face with that crazy woman. I'm only thinking about your safety, I want to be able to protect you. "

" Huan, you have to protect yourself. I know you're a Beifong and I can't change your mind, but I want you to be safe. "

Ikki looked straight in Huan's eyes. The young woman had tears in her eyes, but Huan wiped them away. They had been through a lot of sad and happy moments, but now they're at one important moment in their lives. On the first side was a war waiting for them and on the other side a wedding. Their wedding. Ikki couldn't even believe that all of this is real. Eight years ago Huan almost died when Kuvira attacked Republic City, eight years ago Ikki and Huan danced for the first time, eight years ago their relationship was impossible, but look at them now. Ikki is in her early 20, while Huan is 26. The age gap doesn't look so bad anymore and they're gonna be married soon. That was one dream life and Ikki was afraid that one day she'll wake up and everything would be gone, but the man that was beside her was the real proof that their story is real and everything's gonna be fine, that's what Ikki hoped so much.

" You're..right, about the battle and the risks. " Ikki confessed

" What we're gonna do? "

" Can we organize a wedding in one day?" Ikki laugh

" We have my mom, she can organize everything in one day. " Huan laughed too

" Good. "

" Good. "

Life wasn't so great for all of them. Some particular woman was sitting in the practicing area, crying. She was crying because her life was a mess, a war was knocking at the door and she had her heart broken again.

Kya was one of the strongest persons in the world, she had been through a lot of horrifying experiences. First, she lost her husband, then her daughter, now she lost herself. She put her hopes up after all these years and they were crushed. She put a little hope in Zaheer, in the fact that he could change for her, but he couldn't and she got her hope crushed.

She wiped her tears away and she stand up. She went back to practice some waterbending moves, but someone shouted her name.

" Kya! Why're you ignoring me?"

" Zaheer?! Leave me alone!" she said kicking him down with a water wave

The air master got up with grace and stared at the woman in blue.

" I wanna talk with you!"

" But I don't want to talk with you! " Kya said while bending some water into ice pines

" Why are you so mad at me?"

That was it. The waterbender pinned him to a tree with the ice pines.

" Do you wanna know that? Do you even care? Well, I first person to trust you, remember? I put up my hopes for you, I tried to help you, I've talked with you, I've..told you so many things and you ended up an asshole who was trying to kill the avatar, again. You've played with my feelings and it hurts. " she cried with heavy tears

Her blue eyes were looking like an ocean after a storm, but the real storm was in her soul.

" Um..I am interrupting something? " a voice coughed

Kya wiped her tears and turned around to see a really worried Lin.

" No, what's happening?" Kya said with a broken voice

" We...are gonna have a wedding. "

" What?"

" Huan and Ikki are gonna marry each other, tomorrow. We're going to Republic City. "

" Oh my goodness. My little ferret needs me! I'm coming, sweetie!" Kya shouted while starting to run at Ikki

Lin rose her eyebrows when she looked at Zaheer.

" What happened?"

"we've talked. "

Lin went near the airbender and she let him free.

" Never try to argue with a waterbender, especially if she's upset. "

" I'll keep this in my mind. "

A few people were already in the airship, ready to go. Ikki said that they needed the only family to be there, but that means everyone for the young woman, anyway, in the end, Kya, Lin, Tenzin, Lyun, Pema, Katara, Toph, Korra, Rohan, Meelo, Su and Baatar Sr were the only persons who were going to Republic City.

Ty lee, Zuko, Penga, the other Beifongs and Zaheer were staying in Zaofu, for safety. Also, Kai and Jinora couldn't make it because they had their own problems. Also, the crew was on their way to Zaofu, so Ikki didn't want to make them turn around.

In the other way, when the airship was ready to go Huan went near Ikki.

" Ready?"

" Ready." she said kissing him
