The surroundings changed around him to the familiar hated room with the doors and Stiles felt the small weight he was holding vanish as well.He wiped his eyes as he stood up, feeling weak on his feet.
His mind refusing to accept what had happened.
He knew he was in some kind of shock as he took note of the shimmering glass piece in front of him, floating in the air then flying towards the mirror and slotting it's place into the mirror.
As if in a trance he walked towards the mirror, he stared at his reflection in the mirror, was all this for that?
He could see his own dead glowing eyes staring back at him, he tried to ignore the way his own eyes in the reflection seemed to glare accusingly at him.
Suddenly the reflection started to shimmer and the mirror mended itself. Stiles watched, shocked as his reflection changed, his face in the mirror twisted and changed colour, growing smaller until it no longer showed his reflection instead a small glass flask with a green liquid inside.
Stiles stared at it, was this what he thought it was?
The cure?
The happiness was dulled down by guilt. No! Don't think, don't think about what just happened, you can wallow in sadness later Stiles told himself angrily.
Just think about saving Alicia but there was a problem...
What now?
He could see the cure in front of him in the reflection of the mirror but he had no way to get at it, unless...it wasn't a mirror anymore?
Stiles sighed reluctantly, he didn't have any time to lose and he couldn't afford to mull things over.
He brought up his fist and slammed it into the glass, to his relief his fist went through then grabbed the small flask.
So the mirror pieces were more like a key?
A flash of light appeared making Stiles close his eyes and when he opened them he was in a familiar cave.
He could feel that it hasn't been that long. He could see that Alicia's string was faint but it was still there, he still had time.
The druids were surrounding him.
A flurry of rage shot through him. His magic reacted to his anger with no hesitation and the druids were flung up against the walls.
"What the hell was that! Did you know what happened in that test! Did you know what what was going to happen, answer me!" Stiles snarled.
"The curse takes into account who wants the cure, whatever you went through in the test it is because who you are Grand Master, it has nothing to do with us"
Stiles couldn't tell who had spoken but he couldn't deny the truth in their words but it takes into account who he was, what did that mean?
But there was a question more important than that."There was a girl I... anyway she was part of the tests, was-was she real?"
"There isn't much we know about this curse unfortunately, we do not know if what you saw was reality or not. She could be a simple hallucination to help you complete your tests, she could be a real child trapped within the curse or even a lost soul brought to life temporarily for the tests, all of this is possible but as the Grand Master I believe your instinct on who she was and if she was real or not would be better than ours"
His instinct on whether she was real or not was correct?
Which means...
No...
Just...don't think about it.
Not yet.
