It felt consuming, the memories encircled him, leaving his body shaking slightly as he moved closer to the sorcerers prison.Without even looking he could tell which prison used to be his. He could feel the past pressing against him from behind. The past pain and screams pressing down on him, making him feel suffocated.
Stiles let out a breath as he unlocked the door to Ralph's prison. He'd made sure he was his more human size before he went in, he assumed it would be easier to talk to the sorcerer this way.
Speaking of the sorcerer, he was in the corner of the room. He had dirty brunette hair hanging over his eyes. He looked up as Stiles walked into the room.
His expression didn't change much, his smile wasn't warm but it wasn't cold either. He didn't look happy to see Stiles but there was no anger or spiteful ness, Stiles wasn't sure what to make of his expression.
"You don't have to hide your presence from me. Why come to me in this weak form? I can feel your magic, I know who you"
Again the tone was not kind but it was not unkind either. It was almost calm.
So Stiles decided to reply in kind and he said keeping his voice level "This was my original form before I became Grand Master, well almost so I prefer having a conversation with someone in this form"
"Is that so?"
"Yes"
"Well why does the Grand Master come down here to see me? I'm hardly worth your time" Again with that calm normal voice.
Stiles narrowed his eyes at him.
"You are aware what the punishment for murder is? You're going to be executed Reni"
"Would it help?"
Stiles blinked at him.
"What?"
"Would it help if I was scared and worried?"
Stiles didn't reply.
"Then as it won't help in anyway I have no reason to be scared or worried, this is what is going to happen to me and I can't stop it in anyway so why cry about it" Ralph said lightly.
"You don't seem the type of guy to kill someone without reason" Stiles said curiously.
"He stole something precious from me, so I killed him. You've killed for less, haven't you?"
Stiles said stiffly "I'm the executioner, judge and jury in this world now. Anyone who I've killed, they deserved it"
"What gives you the right to decide that?"
It was strange, a question like this should be said in spite and anger but there was none, only a genuine curiosity.
As they talked Ralph Reni did not look Stiles in the eyes though he did look at Stiles face. Nothing impolite but nothing that showed awe or respect. He acknowledged Stiles was the Grand Master but that's it, nothing more, nothing less.
Stiles gave him a smile then, he decided despite what was going to happen to him, he had to follow through on the law. He liked this guy.
"You want me to answer you honestly?"
