The girl stiffened and her face paled. Stiles was about to say sorry then then slowly and with her hands trembling she wrote into the dust.

Monsters, with glowing eyes.

Monsters with glowing eyes, that wasn't that helpful Stiles thought frowning but he wrote thank you all the same.

It made him wonder if the curse had supernatural creature under control of it, or like it copying scenery it could copy different things.

Then without being prompted though maybe she could sense his intent the girl started to write knew things down.

We were attacked by monsters, mummy and daddy told me to run and would beat the monsters, they would find me when it was safe again, they never came.

Tears started to drip down the girls eyes.

Stiles grimaced, by the trail of blood it was likely they were dead but still, this all was very confusing.

These places seemed to be crafted by the curse artificially but maybe the first place hadn't been artificially created? But then why did the girl have the mirror piece? He was sure she must play into the curse somehow even if it was against her will and the cost of her parents lives.,

Where did you get the mirror peace? He asked.

Seemingly glad to be of the subject of her parents, she wrote I found it on the ground, it looked pretty in the sunlight. Mummy and daddy liked mirrors we have loads of them upstairs.

She then seemed to hesitate and wrote down something else.

I felt like I had seen it somewhere before..

Now that, Stiles thought, was odd.

Her writing was quite messy but Stiles could still understand what she was saying.

Stiles decided to just call her flower in his head as he didn't know what type of flower she was named after.

They sat in silence for a couple of minutes then her eyes watered and her fingers trembled as she wrote into the dust, the hand writing much shakier then before, she only put down one word.

Scared.

His sympathy rose even more for the poor girl. At least he knew why he was trapped here, unlike her.

You'll be okay, I promise.

Flower relaxed at his words. He hoped he could keep his promise.

It seemed they had nothing else to do but talk to each other, while making sure not a sound came from them.

Stiles knew he didn't need food but he noticed that Flower didn't seem to need food either, he asked about it and she didn't know why she wasn't hungry, he supposed it must be some kind of effect on the curse.

He wasn't sure how much time passed, there was no way to tell.

He asked why her parents were out in the middle of nowhere, she told him she didn't know, thats just where they had always lived.

She asked him questions too about who he was. He didn't go into that much detail, only that he was trying to rescue his friend and that he was in a high up position within the world he came from, like a boss she had asked, he has smiled a little and wrote back yes, kind of like a boss.

He learned her father was sick but he had just gotten better a couple of weeks ago, everything had seemed to be going fine, perfect.

Then the monsters came.

The monsters with the glowing eyes.
