The Law Is Hard But It Is The Law

Stiles smiled sweetly at her. Making sure that he was his normal size, and held back a lot of his power despite that he knew she recognised the change in him quickly.

Her eyes widening as she took in his form and his cloak.

"Oh, oh wow! I was wondering what had happened to you! This is amazing, this is- I mean-!"

She quickly kneeled and looked down at the floor.

"Welcome, Master. I'm glad you were chosen as the next Grand Master!"

Her excitement and joy was clear as can be.

Stiles chuckled, his eyes sparkling. He was holding back on his power so he knew she'd be able to see his eyes clearly if she looked.

"No need for formality's Alicia"

She stood up quickly, her eyes shining with happiness but suddenly he watched as her expression darkened.

"What is it?"

"I came here to talk to Rocrik as I didn't sense his magic around any more. He was meant to show up to decide the fate of a couple of criminals, they're either to get the life sentence imprisonment or the death sentence, it was quite an urgent matter"

The Lord of Mind was no longer existed, Stiles knew that this must be one of his duties he should take up until he found another Lord or Lady of Mind.

"Something else is wrong isn't it? I can sense it" He told her, looking at her worriedly.

Alicia looked a little ashamed, she looked away.

"One of the criminals, well he used to be a very rich elite, born into his wealth. He would routinely make large donations to the sorcerous who are living in poverty in this district and giving sorcerous who were born to poor families the chance to study their magic with training masters. The people hold him in high regard however with the crime he committed.... he is facing the death sentence"

Stiles eyes narrowed.

"What crime did he commit?"

Alicia's eyes dulled slightly as she replied "Murder"

Stiles licked his lips as he said his tone firm but his insides twisted slightly as he said  "The punishment for murder is death Alicia, that can't be changed"

"The people-" Alicia said hesitantly.

"I know!" Stiles said through gritted teeth.

This districts did not know yet about the new Grand Master and the loss of their own Lord.

This would needed to be addressed all at the same time, to get it out of the way and to make sure they accepted him as their leader.

He looked at Alicia, at least for now he had another goal that would distract him from ruling as the Grand Master and give him a reason to stay in the mind District.

"Alicia, once Madam Rucia has awakened please ask her to tell the people in this city and send message to all the other city's and villagers in this District to come to the capital, there they will be informed on some changes for the Mind District"

Alicia nodded quickly "At once Master!"

Stiles stopped himself from smiling at that name, this was a serious situation after all but he could definitely get used to this...
