Evelyn's POV
Lionize
(Verb)
To treat (a person) as a celebrity
I follow Dimitri out the main doors and try to ignore my wobbling legs. He's angry, I can feel it.
He opens the passenger side door for me, and I force a smile before slipping inside.
There is no reason to be afraid Evelyn. He's not all that scary.
"Seatbelt." He says calmly.
I click my seatbelt into the lock and wait to be yelled at.
But it never comes. He just keeps driving.
"Tell me about your dream." He orders.
Dream. What dream? I give him a confused look.
A sly smirk spreads across his face.
"The huge dream." He states.
My face pales as I have flash backs of the 'huge' dream.
"I told you already. It was just a huge nothing." I try to play it cool.
"We both know," he lays his hand on my knee, "that's not true."
A lump forms in my throat, I struggle to swallow but end up choking on my own spit. As I cough, Dimitri pats my back trying to help me.
"Respira bambina." Whispers to himself.
When I finally calm down, I take a deep breath and smooth out my shirt.
"Tell me." He says as he pulls into the driveway.
"No." I cross my arms.
He comes around to my side of the car and opens the door for me to slide out and follow him to the door.
Once he opens the door, we walk inside and out of nowhere, I'm pinned against the wall with Dimitri's hand protecting the back of my head.
"How about I ask questions, and you say yes or no." His minty breath hits my face. I feel so heavy all the sudden.
Knowing my words would betray me, I just nod. At least I don't have to tell him everything.
He takes my hand into his large one and leads me to the living room.
He gestures for me to sit on the couch as he sits in the chair across from it.
"Did you have a dream?" He smirks.
I nod, finally admitting I did in fact have a dream. My blood pumps into my ears as my anxiety rises.
"Were you present in this dream?" His eyes sparkle with the dimming light of the day.
I nod again. I don't know how long I can keep this up for.
"Was I present in this dream?"
I shake my head quickly.
"E una bugia."
{That's a lie.}
He stands from his chair and stands directly in front of me, making me face to face with his manhood. I quickly look up at him to avoid being embarrassed.
