"of course it's not the same. you know each other more than you did when you first became friends." hunter answered simply.
he groaned, "i can't figure out why i feel so- so different around her. this never used to happen, i never got nervous around her." he fiddled with the drawstrings of his hoodie, "do you think we're drifting apart? like, do you think maybe she doesn't like me anymore?"
hunter grinned, letting out an amused hum. "just, think about it. do you dislike her?"
he shook his head, "i don't."
"okay, do you like her...platonically?" she questioned.
he paused for a moment, "not the way i used to."
