Screaming. Pain. Destruction. A flash of blue light.

I wake up sweating and shaking from my nightmare. Except that I know it isn't a nightmare. It's another vision, but I've never had one this strong or terrifying before.

I sit up and swing my legs out of bed, wiping the sweat from my face and hair. Brief images replay before me about everything I saw.

Something terrible is going to happen and I have no idea when that will be, but I have to do something about it. I grab my phone and call Aunt Maria.

"Hello?", the voice answers from the other side of the phone.

"Aunt Maria, it happened again". I try to make my voice as steady as I can. Even though my vision terrifies me I don't want to appear weak in front of her even though she is my aunt.

"Tell me everything, and don't leave anything out", she replies in her work professional voice.

I've been close to my aunt ever since my parents died when I was ten.  She raised me to fight and think like an agent at a young age, because she wanted me to be able to protect myself if I need to one day.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath before telling her. "I was having a normal dream when all of a sudden I saw a flash of bright blue light. I saw glimpses of people running and screaming but I couldn't tell from what. A city was under attack, and then there was this glowing blue box thing. But the fear and helplessness that I felt was so overwhelming I still can't shake it".

Over the past 8 years Aunt Maria has been helping me decipher them and learn how to receive more premonitions in order to understand the full story and either prepare or prevent them from happening.

Aunt Maria is silent for a while before saying, "Fury and I will be on the next flight out and we can speak more then".

In the past when I have told her about my premonitions it never directly involved Nick Fury the head of Shield to be there.

This must be bigger than I thought if she is bringing him into and flying out here fast.

I know sleep is far behind me now, so I decide to take a shower and try to regain some peace. As the hot water runs down my head and face, I think back to the big premonitions that I've had.

I remember seeing flashes of a man getting kidnapped and being held prisoner, I saw iron and a white light at the heart of it.  Later news broke out about Tony Stark on television being kidnapped and later rescued.  I also got a premonition of a powerful metal suit and his face which I now know was foretelling him making his suit before he even built it.

I thought it was a funny coincidence that I saw that in my head and then it happened.  However, a few years later I told my aunt about Stark dying from his armor poisoning him, and how it was coursing through his veins.

That's the moment when Fury took more of an interest in me. They were able to save Stark and ever since then my job has been to tell them everything that I see.

The one that really made my heart skip a beat in a good way was the one I had about Captain America. I was at a park enjoying the day when it happened and I saw him.

His shield in ice, his face as handsome as ever in his frosted bed, coordinates, and lastly, I saw his eyes open.

Normally I voice everything I see and stay on the sidelines, but this time without receiving any premonitions I have a feeling that things won't remain this way for long, or maybe it's just my deep longing to use my powers and prove myself.

I suppose only time will tell.
