Chapter 31: Because I Care

The next day I make my way over to Tony's workshop, so that him and I can sort things out. Before I can knock on the door Friday activates.

"Good morning Miss Hill, how may I help you?".

"Is Mr. Stark in?", I ask.

"Of course, Mr. Stark has been expecting you", and with that she unlocks the door and I walk inside.

As usual he's at a workbench tinkering with something, but when he notices me he clears the screens around him.

"Well it's about time. I was wondering when you were going to come talk or crush one of my other suits", he says giving me a small smile.

"I thought now's as good a time as any. Plus we both got a chance to sleep on it", I tell him ignoring the suit comment. Truth is, I felt bad for doing that since he has done so much for me. But in the moment he didn't give me much of a choice.

He indicates for me to take a seat on a stool across from him.

"Look Roise, I'm sorry about what happened yesterday and how I reacted. I was just being protective because I care".

I nod my head, "I know that, and I know that you care about me. But I was mainly upset that you wouldn't even let me speak on behalf of myself. You pushed me aside".

"And for that I'm sorry. The only thing I was thinking about at the moment was hitting Cap in those perfect teeth of his", he says making me smile.

"Why are you so against him and I being together? Everyone is fine with it even my aunt, and yet you seem so upset by it", I confess.

He gets up and starts walking around playing with random objects.

"I'm not against it. Well, not anymore now that I know he's not taking advantage of you. But I would still feel better if you know the full story with him", he says pointing a screwdriver at me.

I furrow my brows confused, "What do you mean? Of course I know everything. What else is there?".

"Glad you asked, because I'm going to show you. Right now all you see is the shiny blonde haired man with a shield, that always does the right thing. But what you need is to know everything about him before you make a decision", he says as he taps away at multiple screens around him.

A huge screen appears in front of me, with a video uploaded.

"This is a video about everything concerning Rogers. All I want you to do is watch it. If it makes you feel better, I already discussed it with Rogers and he was fine with it", he tells me casually.

I was about to argue until he said that last statement, "Fine, I'll watch it".

"I'll be back when it's done", he tells me with a wry smile before leaving.

"Coke and popcorn are in the back!", he calls out before the door closes behind him.

I roll my eyes, and decide to make myself more at home by switching to the couch he has in the room.

"Okay Friday, play the stupid video", I say once I'm settled.

When the video begins, it starts off with preserum Steve. Man, he was so cute and little.

The video continues through his journey of becoming Captain America. None of this so far is new to me, except seeing a couple of new clips.

In all honesty, I'm really enjoying the video. I also get to see more clips of him and Bucky together. Both men look so handsome in their uniforms while fighting alongside each other.
