Till the End of Time-

Chapter 34: Keeping a Secret

"What do you mean? What did you see?", Wanda asks coming closer to examine me.

"I'm not entirely sure... but let's talk about this tomorrow, and then I'll tell you everything", I reply as I start to get up and dust myself off.

She hesitates for a moment before agreeing, and then we part ways.

I continue running forwards, while occasionally trying to fly over as well. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

As I get closer to the other side of the woods I can see Steve standing there waiting for me. That's when I start to slow down on my running since I know that there must be someone else in between us.

But as I wait in silence expecting someone to pop out like Wanda did, I'm surprised to find nothing happens. So I decide to bolt to end as fast as I can.

I'm drawing nearer to Steve when a knife is thrown across my path. I see it from the corner of my eye getting closer, and this allows me just enough time to change the direction of it with my mind.

I turn sharply and Bucky is right there dressed in all black. Again, he's using full strength against me as we fight, except this time he's using a weapon against me.

I use my powers to throw branches at him, or to trip him by sliding things in this path. I know that I can't defeat him just using combat, but luckily for me I can use my powers. He gets the better of me before I can send an energy blast at him, and I stumble forwards. He's about to pounce on me when extend my hand making a lifting motion, and send him several feet up in the air holding him in place.

He stops moving once he realizes that I beat him.

"There's no getting out of this one! It's safe to say I won", I call up to him with mirth.

"Is that so?", he calls back.

Before I can even process what he means I'm hit with a blast from the side causing me to drop Bucky. I look over to see Wanda is back.

Well shit!

I try to multitask by fighting both of them at once, using both magic and combat. I can't get too focused on Wanda because than that gives Bucky the opportunity to attack me while I'm distracted.

At one point I'm completely being beaten by both of them, as Wanda uses all her force against me.

I decide to wing it and I let down my defenses opening my chest and absorbing everything she is sending out to me. My body takes it all in instead of it hurting me, and once I have more than enough I send it all flying back to her and Bucky knocking them flat.

I pause for a moment breathing heavily before booking it towards Steve. I figure they're fine and I didn't want to make the same mistake I did last time with Wanda.

Steve's face spreads into a big grin as I run straight into his arms. He holds me tightly as I wrap my legs around him, "I made it", I whisper to him.

"I knew you would", he says lovingly.

After a couple of minutes Wanda and Bucky join us. "Did I pass?", I ask Bucky once he gets closer.

He looks me over before answering, "That'll do for now".

"To be honest, I thought we had you at the end", Wanda admits as we get into a car to head back.

"So did I! I also didn't think that you both were going to attack me at the same time. I definitely was not prepared for that!".

Wanda smiles at me, "That's what we were counting on".

Once we get back to the compound Wanda says goodnight to us and heads to her room. But she gives me a look before she leaves indicating to what happened earlier.
