I lay down on the bed and try to calm myself down, but no matter how I try to distract my mind I just keep going back to what happened.
A knock at the door snaps me out of my thoughts. It's probably Steve or Tony coming to talk, but I'm not entirely sure I want to just yet.
"Come in", I call. I hear the door open and close but don't bother to look over to see who it is.
"Are you okay?", I hear an unexpected voice say.
I turn over quick and my eyes meet a familiar pair of steel blue eyes.
"I'm still a little angry", I truthfully respond, "where are they at right now?".
Bucky walks in further and I gesture for him to sit on the bed with me. He hesitantly does so, only sitting on the edge.
"They went to Tony's workshop to sort things out, and Steve asked me to check in on you", he tells me as his eyes continue to bore into mine.
The gaze is so intense I have to break away. I reposition myself so that I'm sitting fully up with my legs crossed, so I could talk to him better.
"Was my reaction justified or did I overreact?", I ask.
"I think you were right in what you did and said. Stark was the one overreacting to the situation, not you", he replies.
I look back up to him and study his face, "How did you know I could do it? That I was strong enough to stop them. You said it as though you already knew that I could".
This time he's the one to look away, while he plays with the blanket he's sitting on.
"Guess I just had a feeling", he eventually tells me with a wry smile on his face once he looks back at me.
I tilt my head to the side as I feel as though he's lying to me. I'm not sure why he would, but there's just something in the way he said it that makes me feel like he is.
"Well that was some feeling. Maybe you have a touch of premonitions yourself", I tease.
For the first time since I met him he gives me a genuine smile, "Yeah maybe I do. I might run you out of business someday".
Seeing this side of him warms me and I feel as though I'm making progress with him.
"Is that so? Hmm well you might have an advantage over me. White Wolf is a much better sounding name for someone who gets premonitions compared to plain old Rosaleen Hill", I laugh.
"Rosaleen", he says my name in a thick Romanian accent, "It sounds perfectly nice to me".
Hearing his accent gives me a flutter in my stomach, and I let out a giggle.
"Well when you say it like that I suppose it does sound slightly better", I tell him with a smile, "but I do still wish I had a cool nickname like the one the Wakandans gave you. It fits you well".
"Maybe one day you will have one. I have a feeling", he says joking by emphasizing the last word.
"Do you have any plans right now?", I suddenly ask.
He looks surprised for a moment, "No I don't, why?".
"Can you stay until Steve comes back? You're lifting my mood and I don't really feel like being alone right now", I admit. A warm smile crosses his face, "Yeah I'll stay with you".
I pat the side next to me on the bed for him to come over, and then I lean over to the nightstand to grab the remote. "This might be a stupid question, but have you watched a lot of tv since the 40s?".
