Chapter 69: Source of Power

Thor takes us to a large open spaced room where we can sit and talk in peace.

I purposely position myself on the seats facing the open balcony overlooking the city.

"What brings you all to Asgard?", Thor asks in his booming voice as he sits down with us, "I hope nothings wrong?".

"Oh no nothings wrong! Umm we just wanted to invite you to Nat's birthday party", I say awkwardly as I realize this might feel excessive just to invite him to a party.

Thor furrows his brows half confused, "Is that all? Of course I'll come to Natasha's party. When is it?".

"It's the day after tomorrow", Steve informs him.

"I have some business to attend to tomorrow, but you all are welcome to stay here and then I will return with you afterwards", he says with a warm smile.

"I thought mortals weren't allowed to stay here?", Bucky asks awkwardly.

"Uh don't worry about that, I'll speak to my father. But before I show you to your rooms, Rosaleen I'd like to know how you were able to come here?", he asks letting his eyes linger on me.

"Well a number of things have happened since you've been away, so I guess it's time I start filling you in", I begin before telling him everything that's happened.

"And that's kind of about it", I say after I finish.

"How did you get your powers again?", he asks.

"Oh, um it was through whatever tests they had done on me. Every time I went through them it would take a toll on me so I never really remembered much about them", I tell him.

"What ever the source of power that it all came from must be very great", he says mulling over the information I told him.

I nod my head, "I suppose so".

"What are you thinking?", Steve asks watching Thor's expression.

The serious affect on Thor's face lessens as he smiles at us, "It's probably nothing, but I will show you all to your rooms and you can freshen up".

"It's kind of you to let us stay, thank you", Steve tells him.

"Think nothing of it! I'm actually quite happy that I can show you all my home", Thor smiles at him as he leads the way out.

"What've you been up to since we last saw you?", Bucky asks him.

Thors face lights up as though he was waiting for one of us to ask so he could share a couple of stories with us.

He's halfway through his second story when he stop's suddenly before a giant pair of double door and opens them leading us into a large bedroom that overlooks the city.

"Wow", I say in awe as we step in.

"This will be your room lady Rosaleen. It has one of the best views in the palace... I thought you'd like it", Thor tells me sweetly.

"I absolutely love it, thank you", I reply sincerely.

"The servants will help you with anything you may need", Thor tells me before turning to the boys.

"I'll take you to your rooms next", he says leading the way out.

"I'll see you both in a bit", I smile at both of them.

I give Steve's hand a quick squeeze before he leaves and I'm surprised when Bucky backtracks to give me a kiss on the cheek.

"See you doll", Bucky smiles before catching up with the others.
