"And then what happened?", I ask enthralled in the story and atmosphere.

"Steve ate like 10 hotdogs before we went on this spinning swing ride. So of course about half way through it, I look back at him and he has the greenest face I've ever seen!", Bucky says animatedly.

I glance over at Steve who's covering part of his face laughing hard.

"All of a sudden he just projectiles everywhere! All over the ride, everyone around-".

"It did not get on everyone! It wasn't that bad, but I did get really sick", Steve corrects still chuckling.

"Hey I went home wearing some of it so I'd say it was bad", Bucky laughs at his friend.

I hold my sides from laughing so much, "Stop! I wish I could have seen that! How old were you guys?".

"We were 13-14?" Bucky questions Steve.

"We were 11 at the time, but I wouldn't have eaten so many if you hadn't of told me that it'd impress a girl", Steve corrects.

"Why would that impress a girl? Bucky, I expected better girl advice than that!", I say bumping him.

"Hey I was young! I barely had any experience with girls at all but at the time it seemed like a good idea", he shrugs.

"I wish I could've seen you both back then", I muse, "Little overalls, caps, maybe a dog named Pete or whatever".

"We weren't the little rascals", Steve shakes his head at me.

"My knowledge about those years is only gained through movies and shows, so that's the best I can do", I tell him.

"You can't travel back in time with your new powers can you?", Steve questions.

"Not that I'm aware of, the only traveling I can do is in current time. But we can always dress up like the 40s for Halloween when it comes around", I offer.

Steve gives me a smile where I can tell by his look that he's imagining us dressed like that together.

At the same time I ask Bucky to tell me another story about the two of them, I also project a scene into Steve's head.

Him and I are at a dance hall in the 40s, dancing together while the band plays something loud and playful.

He's wearing his uniform which makes him look so attractive it makes my legs weak, while I'm wearing a red dress that helps my features pop.

Steve's eyes sparkle at me while his friend talks unaware of our hidden mental link.

"You look beautiful", he says to me in our heads.

"Here in the 40s or here at the restaurant?", I inquire with a flick of my brow.

"Both. Definitely both", he tells me lovingly.

"So do you Captain Rogers", I flirt back.

"If it were possible, would you want to live in this time?", he curiously asks me.

I pause and glance around the image that I created for us and try to imagine all of this being real and a place for us to live.

"I'm not sure... I don't know if I'd fit in?", I truthfully reply.

"I'm not sure I even fit in back then", Steve chuckles as he pulls me to him to dance.

"Well, you fit with me", I wistfully reply.

He gazes lovingly at me, "Then that's all that matters".

"I'm glad you agree Captain Rogers", I tell him as he sways back and forth with me.
