🎵 Calm Down - G-eazy 🎵
Me, myself & I - G-eazy

The house is not that big. The place where we used to throw parties was three times bigger than this one, but somehow people manage to fit in here. I immediately sense the smell of cigarettes and sweat. I'm used to it so it doesn't bother me. Ethan, who obviously knows the house plan, leads us through the crowd. We pass a table where people are playing some kind of a card game, a lot of college kids who are making out and dancing. I don't even want to know what's happening on the second floor where the bedrooms are. Ethan stops in front of a group of people who are sitting on two couches opposite each other. I remember them from the diner. These are Ethan's friends.

One of them is looking directly at me and when I make eye contact my heart starts beating fast. It's hard to explain the feeling that I'm having in my stomach, but it courses through my whole body like a shock of electricity. His blue eyes pour into mine, my mind drifts away to some places that hasn't been visited in a long while. That color of his eyes is mesmerising, like ocean. He looks so handsome and I start to feel nervous because of it. I never feel nervous... His straight, dark brown, almost black hair is styled straight up, some strands fall down to his face. He is wearing a white button down shirt, with rolled up sleeves, that shows a couple of tattoos on his forearms. Uhm... Did I mention that he is handsome?

"Guys, meet my new friend Katherine." Ethan introduces me. I have to literally shake my head to break the eye contact. Only now I realize that this handsome guy has a girl on his lap.

And almost as if it's a joke, the girl is Stella. She is looking at me with so much hatred, like I've done something horrible to her. I still don't get why she has to be such a bitch, but I guess it comes with the name.

The guy is holding his red cup awkwardly in the air and his lips are parted, like he can't move out of shock. Stella takes his cup and places it on the coffee table and turns back to him to plug her lips onto the skin on his neck. I feel like grabbing her arms and yanking her away from him. But it breaks my trance and the stupid feeling that I got for a second. I don't get these feelings and I'm not going to let my mind wonder away thinking about what it just meant.

I take a seat on the couch without looking at them. Diana follows me and takes a seat to my right as my eyes dart back to the annoying action. I guess it's inevitable as they are sitting right in front of me.

"Hi." A guy with bleached blonde hair greets me. Oh, that's where I know him from. What was his name? Right. Owen. "Want a drink?" He holds up a bottle of liquor.

"No, thanks." I don't drink. I cringe at how my voice just came out so icy.

Ethan takes a seat on the arm of the couch next to Diana and her eyes go wide. She lets out a gasp and tries to cover it with a cough. I hand her a cup with a drink to calm her nerves. If Ethan doesn't catch that she likes him tonight, then someone will definitely tell him because it's obvious. It's written all over her face.

"What's your name?" A guy next to Stella asks, looking at Diana. Stella is no longer sitting on that guy's lap and he is drinking from his cup looking at me. As soon as I make eye contact, his eyes dart to the opposite wall. What's up with him?

"Diana." She responds to the guy.

"Cool. I'm Mark." He says, his lips curving into a smile.

"I'm bored." Someone says.

"Let's play a game." I suggest and everyone looks at me. Usually when someone says that they are bored, we end up playing games. Not too crazy though, poker or truth or dare.

"Yeah... and what would that be?" Stella asks dryly. She is so damn annoying, I want to rip her hair out.

"Truth or dare?" Diana suggests. She read my mind.
