Holly's POV
Klaus is on the couch sketching me while Kol watches. Papa Elijah is upstairs and I don't know where Finn or Esther are. Just then Rebekah appears in the same dress she was in last night. "Well, well, well, there's our girl!" Kol says loudly blocking her path.
"Get out of my way, Kol" she tells him.
"Out all night. What a scandal! I trust you did better than that commoner? Matt, was it?" he asks.
"Matt was my escort" I correct him. "Her's was Jeffery" I state.
"If you don't shut your mouth, the next thing to come out of it will be your teeth" Rebekah threatens him. Klaus grins. "Don't start, Nik" she tells him.
"I didn't say anything" Klaus says innocently.
"I'm bored. Our sister is a strumpet, but at least she's having fun. I need entertainment" Kol states. Changing the subject.
"What are you waiting for? Go on, have at it" Klaus tells him.
"It's not fun to go alone. Join me, Nik! It's the least you can do after sticking a dagger in my heart" Kol says guilt tripping him.
"Okay. Why not? I didn't have nearly enough to drink last night, what with you trying to murder Holly's date" Klaus states getting up.
"Yes, please go, this house has enough men rolling around it in" Rebekah tells them.
"Just like you, Bekah" Kol says smirking. She throws a heel at him. Which he dodges and leaves with Klaus.
"Good riddance, both of you!" she exclaims. Just then papa Elijah enters the room, still holding the burnt sage.
"Is that burnt sage?" I ask curious as I get to my feet.
"Rebekah, Holly" he says.
"Not you to Elijah" Rebekah whines.
"I'm worried about mother. Have you not noticed her strange behavior?" he asks us.
"I haven't trusted her since the beginning" I tell him.
"She's been dead for a thousand years. What's strange for her?" Rebekah asks him.
"Burnt sage" he says showing it to her. She takes it from him. "She was doing a privacy spell" he states. To prevent anyone from eavesdropping on her.
"You know she fancies such things. Why don't you ask Finn? He's been doting on her" Rebekah states.
"I don't trust Finn. He hates what we are, he always has" Elijah reminds us.
"That's not true. And as for mother, she returned for one reason, to make our family whole. She loves us. What trouble are you looking to find?" Rebekah asks him.
"I think we need to talk to Elena" I state.
"Agreed, come Holly" papa Elijah tells me. We left. We go to the Gilbert house. I knock on the door and Elena answers it. "We don't mean to intrude. I was hoping you might accompany us. I want to show you something" he tells her. She agrees and we lead her to the woods. Our old home from a thousand years ago.
"Forgot how much I missed this land" he says looking around.
"Same" I say smiling.
"I can't even imagine what it must have been like a thousand years ago" Elena tells us.
"You know, your school was built over an Indian village. Where I saw my first werewolf. The town square was where the natives would gather to worship. Matter of fact, near that, there was a field where wild horses use to graze" Papa Elijah tells her.
"Papa Elijah would take me there often. As I love horses" I say smiling fondly at the memory.
"That's incredible" Elena tells us.
"Come" Papa Elijah tells her.
"Do you know this place too?" she asks us curious.
"I do. Below us is a cavern I use to play in as a boy. So did Hollyann as a child. It connects to a system of tunnels that stretch across the entire area. Perhaps it's nature's way of providing us with shelter against the savagery of the full moon. My mother said there must be a balance" he explains.
"You always cheated at hide and seek" I say pouting.
"Elijah, Holly I should probably go home" Elena tells us.
"I admire you, Elena. You remind me of qualities I valued long before my mother turned us. It's not in your nature to be deceitful and yet when I asked about your meeting with my mother the other night, you lied to my face" Papa Elijah states.
"That's not true. I told you that all your mother wanted was a new start" she tells him. As her heartbeat races.
"We can hear your heartbeat Elena" I tell her.
"It jumps when you're being dishonest with me. You lied to me at the ball; you are lying to me now. Tell me the truth" Elijah tells her.
"I never wanted this to happen" she tells him.
"What, Elena?" we ask her.
"We were told that whatever was going to be in that coffin was going to kill Klaus. When we found out that it was your mother....We didn't know what to think" she tells us.
"Since her return she says she only wants this family whole again" Elijah states.
"When she asked to see me, I...I thought that maybe she could help. That she would find a way to kill Klaus. It's not just Klaus that she wants to kill" she tells him.
"She wants to kill us all, doesn't she? She wants to undo the evil she created" Elijah says.
"You're not evil papa" I tell him.
"I'm so sorry, Elijah and Holly. I wish there was something I could do to help" Elena tells us. Sincerely. I share a look with papa Elijah.
"You know, one thing I've learned on my time on this Earth...be careful what you wish for" Elijah tells her. Elijah breaks a hole into the Earth, grabs Elena, and jumps down the hole with her. Then leaves her there.
"Lets go tell Rebekah" he tells me.
"No you tell her, I'll go tell Uncles Nik and Kol" I tell him.
"Ok, be careful" he tells me. I nod my head and run off. I track them down to the grill. I go to the alleyway and see Klaus about to kill Damon.
"Leave him! We still need them, Uncle Nik" I tell him as papa Elijah appears.
"What did mother do? What did she do, Elijah?" he demands looking at Elijah. Elijah walks down the stairs towards Damon, holding a phone.
"You tell me where the witches are or I'll have my sister kill Elena right now" he threatens. Damon looks up at the clock tower and sees that it's 8:30.
"You told me we had until after nine" Damon states.
"I'm sure Rebekah will be more than happy to start her work early" Elijah tells him.
"You're going to let them kill Elena?" Damon asks me. "She's your only living descendant" he reminds me.
"Yes, but the Originals are my family Damon. When it comes down to it, I'll always choose them" I state. "I'll go with him, keep them honest" I tell papa and he nods his head.
The Salvatores did as they were told. And broke Esther's connection to the Bennett blood line. By turning Bonnie's mother into a vampire. But Esther and Finn got away. And the Originals are still all linked. Papa Elijah and I left town.
