S2E28: Plan "B"

Holly's POV

I wake up to my phone ringing and groan. "What?" I ask when I answer it.

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed" Katherine says. I could just feel her smirking.

"You woke me up" I retort as I sit up.

"Mason just left and he's bringing me the moonstone tonight" she tells me.

"Excellent" I say smiling. "I'll come over later, I promised to help prepare for a masquerade ball at the Lockwoods. If I see Mason, I'll tell you're waiting" I tell her.

"Have fun" she tells me and I hang up. I get out of bed and go shower. I then got ready for the day. Afterwards I go downstairs and grab a blood bag.

"Morning dear" Mrs Evans says.

"Morning" I say. "I got a call and I'll be leaving town tonight. I know it's short notice, but it's an emergency" I lie.

"Of course, if you ever come back to Mystic Falls. You're always welcome here" she tells me.

"Thank you, anyway gotta go to the Lockwoods. I'm helping set up for the masquerade ball" I tell her. She smiles nodding her head and I leave. I arrive at the Lockwoods as Carol tells Tyler and Matt to be careful with a table. I smile and look for Mason.

"Hello Mason" I say as I grab a box.

"Hey" he says as he carries another and we go inside. Stefan approaches us and Mason looks at him in surprise. "Hey Stefan" he says confused. "Wasn't expecting you here. Or anywhere" he states.

"Yeah, I had this little accident. But I'm fine now" Stefan tells him.

"What did you do to Sheriff Forbes?" Mason asks him.

"Oh, she's fine too, but from now on, you'll have to do your own dirty work" Stefan tells him.

"Not a problem" Mason says walking away and accidentally bumps into Bonnie. "Excuse me" he says and leaves.

"What's the matter? Are you okay?" Stefan asks Bonnie.

"When I touched him, I saw something" Bonnie states.

"Not unusual for a witch" I say shrugging.

"What did you see?" Stefan asks her.

"I saw Elena, he was kissing her" she states. I roll my eyes, she saw Katherine. Of course Katherine is fooling around with Mason, I would to. Werewolves are great in the sack. Though can get a little to aggressive for my liking.

"You didn't see Elena, you saw...Katherine" Stefan tells her.

"Speaking of Katherine, I have to go. Try not to do anything stupid" I tell them smirking and leave. I go to the inn Katherine has been staying in lately. I told her, she could stay at Mrs Evans house. But she preferred the inn. Who am I to deny her that?

I arrive to see her doing her make up. "Hot date?" I ask her smirking.

"Really hot, Mason should be here in an hour. He'll give me the stone, we'll grab Elena and Caroline. Leave Mystic Falls for Florida, grab Jules. Contact Klaus and I'll be free" she says smiling.

"You have everything planned out" I say smiling. "Shame we have to leave tonight, I was actually looking forward to the masquerade ball" I tell her.

"We could always come back to celebrate" she tells me smirking.

"Maybe, but I promised to meet Elijah on my birthday. So I wouldn't be able to stay long" I tell her shrugging. "So when Elena's gone and you are free, are you going to go after Stefan?" I ask her.

"Oh I sure will" she says smirking.

"Well good luck" I tell her.

"What about you? Are you finally gonna settle down?" she asks me.

"Don't know, though I have had an eye on someone lately" I tell her smiling.

"Let me guess; five foot ten, blonde hair and super blue eyes" she says smirking.

"What? He's cute" I tell her smiling.

"Yeah and human" she reminds me.

"That's easily rectified if we hit it off" I tell her smirking. "We still have awhile before Mason arrives with the stone. Let's catch up, we've hardly seen each other since 1864" I remind her.So that's what we do, apparently she'd been checking in on Stefan every decade. Explains why she was in Chicago in the 1920s.

Anyway we'd been talking for hours when her phone rings. She answers it with a smile. "Mason, you should have been here an hour ago" she states. 

"Wrong boy toy" I hear Damon say on the other end. I raise an eyebrow, why does he have Mason's phone.

"Damon. For once you've surprised me. I assume Mason is with you?" she asks.

"He's right beside me! Although, his heart's across the room" Damon tells her.

"You shouldn't have" she tells him firmly. She may not of loved Mason, but she did care for him.

"I've had a very busy day today. I killed a werewolf, found a moonstone. Hey, did you know that he hid the moonstone in the bottom of a well full of vervain? I guess he didn't trust you very much. Although, he did love you. Poor guy. Hey, where are you? Because, you know, I could bring him over. Last goodbyes and all that" Damon states.

"You have no idea what you've just done" she tells him.

"Aww, did I put a kink in your master plan? I'm so sorry" he says not sounding sorry.

"Do you honestly believe that I don't have a plan B? And if that fails, a plan C, then a plan D, and...you know how the alphabet works, don't you? Send my love to Stefan" She tells him before hanging up.

"What now?" I ask her.

"We need the moonstone and a new wolf to lure Jules in" she tells me. "But first they need to be punished" she tells me.

"I'll get Jenna to stab herself, you find a way to turn Tyler" I tell her. She nods her had and leaves. I call Jenna. "Hello Jenna, remember that talk you had with Katherine about you living?" I ask her.

"Yes, of course" she says.

"Is Elena there? I wish to speak to her" I tell her.

"Of course, I understand. Elena, it's for you" she says and I hear her hand the phone to someone.

"Hello" she says.

"Hello Elena" I say smiling.

"Holly" she says confused.

"Did you enjoy your little rendezvous with Stefan this morning? Katherine will always know, Elena. She will always be one step ahead of you. When are you gonna figure that out? Do you know how easy it was to get inside of your house? To replace Aunt Jenna's vervain perfume, to convince her to stop drinking her special tea?" I ask her.

"No" she says.

"Jenna's been Katherine's little spy for days now. But unlike you, Jenna actually listens to to her. So when she suggested that the world would be a much better place if she were to just..." I explain. I hear her shouts her aunts name and drop the phone. "Well, you get the idea" I tell her and hang up. I then call Katherine. "My end is taken care of, did you complete your task?" I ask her.

"Sure did, we should have a new werewolf by the end of the month" she tells me.

"Very well, I'll stay here tonight. I have nothing better to do" I tell her.

"Make yourself at home" she tells me.

"Will do" I tell her and hang up. I remove my shoes and sit in front of the mirror. I grab a brush and brush my hair. Thinking about what to do now. How to get the stone from the Salvatores. Of course, Katherine and I can just take it. But they have a witch on their side, looks like we need to find ourselves a witch. But Katherine has many connections, I'm sure she knows a few witches.
