Holly's POV
"Must you go?" Elijah asks me as I drive him to the lake on the Lockwood property.
"I promised to catch up with Mary, as thanks for her sending help" I tell him. Lie, Klaus called and demanded I meet him in Richmond. "I'll only be gone the weekend" I assure him.
"We just have not been able to catch properly since I arrived" he tells me.
"There's always some threat or celebration in Mystic falls" I tell him. "Sometimes both" I state. I park the car and we meet us with Jenna. She greets us and takes us to the Fell's property first in her car. Before we start walking through the woods.
"The old Fell property actually starts just beyond that fence" Jenna tells Elijah.
"Ah, the Fells. One of the Founding Families" he says.
"Why do you say it like that?" Jenna asks him confused.
"My research showed me that this area was actually settled almost two full centuries earlier. It was a migration of townsfolk from the northeast, um, it was Salem, to be precise" he explains.
"Massachusetts? As in the witch trials?" Jenna asks surprised.
"Which means the ever-lauded founding families...didn't actually found anything" I tell her smiling. Though technically the wolf pack and my family founded this land. But there's no proof vikings ever made it here.
"Well, I bet it was the men who made a big deal about being founders back in 1860. Men are very territorial" Jenna tells us.
"Yes, they are" we agree as Alaric joins us.
"Elijah, this is my friend, Alaric Saltzman" Jenna tells him.
"Yeah, I got your message about walking Elijah and Holly here through the old property lines. I thought I would tag along. You know being a history buff and all. Where to next?" Alaric asks.
"I'm pretty curious about the freed slave property owners. Some say, you know, the descendants of the slaves are the true keepers of American history" Elijah states.
"Well, I only brought the surveys. I got that list in the car. Just give me a sec" Jenna tells us. She then leaves the three of us alone.
"Alaric Saltzman. So you're one of those people on Elena's list of loved ones to protect" Elijah says.
"So is Jenna" Alaric tells him.
"You don't have to be jealous. I don't really pursue younger women" Elijah tells him. "It's a joke Ric, lighten up" he tells him. Elijah pats him on the shoulder and walks away.
"Someone's jealous" I say smirking. "Don't worry, Jenna isn't his type" I tell him. I join Jenna and Elijah with him. We continue our tour of the old property lines. We then arrive at the Grill. "I have to go, but you guys have fun" I tell Jenna and Elijah. Because Alaric had already entered the grill.
"Leaving so soon?" Jenna asks me.
"I'm meeting an old friend out of town, gotta leave now if I want to get there by dark" I tell her. "Elijah, I'll message you later" I tell him. He nods his head and I go to retrieve my car. Before driving six hours to Richmond and go to the address Klaus had given me. It's a warehouse.
I go in to find Isobel sitting on a chair surrounded by four coffins. "Isobel!" I shout and rush over to her. "Has he hurt you?" I ask her.
"Now why would I hurt your family Hollyann?" Klaus asks as he steps into view. "Isobel has just been telling me a wonderful story about her daughter Elena. How she is Katerina Petrova's doppelganger. And you've known for months" he states.
"I can explain Klaus" I tell him.
"This should be good" he says smiling.
"I meet Elena in September, I knew that my blood line didn't end with Katherine. But I lost track of it until Isobel turned and Katherine found her. I learnt of Elena's existence, but didn't know then she was a doppelganger. When I found out I was conflicted on what to do" I explain.
"Whether or not to give her to me or Elijah?" he muses.
"Yes, Elijah is my sire and father figure. But you're like an uncle to me Klaus, I didn't want to get in the middle. So I decided to get to know Elena and protect until she was eighteen. I was then going to tell you and Elijah about her" I state.
"Now Hollyann" he says touching my check. I close my eyes. "You are like family to me, but you betrayed me by not telling me of Elena's existence" he states. "For that Isobel will pay" he tells me.
"I understand" I say as a tear slips from my eyes. He wipes it away.
"Now according to Isobel, Elijah is in Mystic Falls" he states.
"He is" I confirm.
"She also told me how John Gilbert gave Damon Salvatore a silver dagger and ash of the white oak tree to dagger Elijah. I'm sure they'll do that soon and I can't have him get in the way of my plans" Klaus tells me.
"What are you going to do?" I ask him.
"Have Isobel get me the moonstone and Katherine. The next full moon, I am breaking my curse. All I need you to do is not remove the dagger from Elijah" he tells me. "Do I have to bleed you out and compel you?" he asks me.
"No" I tell him.
"Good girl" he praises. "Now I must finish giving Isobel her instructions, so you just stay here" he instructs. He works over to Isobel whispering to her as he compels her. I'm sorry Papa Elijah, but you'll have to rescue yourself from the dagger.
