Holly's POV
I'm relaxing by the fountain again when John blocks the sun again. "What now?" I ask him.
"Do you lounge around everyday?" he asks me.
"No school, no worries. Why not relax" I tell him.
"A vampire has stolen blood from the hospital, any ideas who?" he asks me.
"Not me, I have a personal supplier" I say smirking.
"Well then care to join Damon and I on our hunt to find the guilty vampire?" he asks.
"I have nothing better to do, by the way I told Isobel I'd help you get the device. But you better tell me when you plan on using it. I wish not to be affected" I tell him.
"Deal" he says and we go to the Salvatore Boarding house. He rings the and Damon answers it. We enter it without permission.
"Hey partner!" John says smiling.
"What do you want?" Damon asks us.
"You haven't return any of my calls" John tells him and I roll my eyes.
"Most people take that as a hint" Damon retorts.
"He's not one of them" I state.
"Where do we start looking for vampires?" John muses out loud.
"How do you act John? You obviously don't care about catching vampires, you're here talking to us" Damon tells him.
"Actually, I care very much" John tells him.
"What Isobel say about that? I mean, considering that she is one" Damon states.
"The three of us share a mutual interest" I tell him.
"The original Jonathan Gilbert has an invention that was stolen by a vampire. That vampire was then burned alive in Fell's church, or so Jonathan thought and the invention was lost forever. But then the vampires weren't killed, were they? They were trapped and now they're free, thanks to you which means the invention is retrieval" John explains.
"What is it?" Damon asks him.
"The only thing that matters is that I want it back and you're going to help me if you want your secret safe" John tells him.
"And you're ok with this?" Damon asks me.
"He'd never threatened me, he's to smart for that" I tell him smirking.
"Why bring me into it John? I mean, I don't know what you are talking about much less who has it" Damon tells him.
"Oh come on Damon! You were around back then, you know who these people are, what they look like. He was friendly with a woman who turned out to be a vampire. Her name was Pearl. Does that ring a bell?" John asks us.
"I'm not playing anymore. Get out" Damon tells John.
"I beg your pardon?" John asks him.
"You know, I only entertain this whole blackmail scheme thing of yours because I thought that you and Isobel could lead me to Katherine. But see, now I know you've no idea where Katherine is. Because if you did you would know that Katherine and Pearl were best friends. See, you don't know everything, do you John?" Damon asks.
"I'll tell the entire council what you are" John threatens him and I roll my eyes.
"Go for it! I'll kill every last one of them. Then I'll sever your hand, pull your ring off, and I'll kill you too. Do you understand that?" Damon asks. John leaves in a huff. "Why are you helping him?" Damon asks me.
"Like I said before, we share a common interest" I tell him. "See you at the gala" I add before leaving. I go home and change before going to the founders' hall. I spot Anna and approach her. "You and your mother have been keeping a low profile" I state.
"Yes, but I'll be starting school soon" she tells me.
"Good, I'm glad you both are settling in" I say. Just then Damon approaches us.
"In the running for Miss Mystic falls?" he asks us.
"Sometimes you have to wear uncomfortable heels to blend in. I remember this event from 1864, I was supposed to enter before everything happened" Anna explains.
"Shame, I'm sure you would of won" I tell her smiling.
"John Gilbert thinks your mom stole an artifact from Jonathan senior back in 1864" Damon tells her.
"What are you? His errand boy?" Anna asks and I chuckle.
" I don't know what it is but I don't want him to have it" Damon states.
"Wise call" I mumble.
"I could ask her but you know, you've made it pretty clear that you don't trust us so why should I even bother?" Anna asks Damon.
"You trust me" I remind her.
"Also you want to stay in Mystic Falls and John Gilbert's in town, making that impossible. Find out where it is. He leaves, you can buy a welcome mat" Damon tells her and I roll his eyes. "Holly come with me, we're going to see Elena" he tells me.
"Very well, see you later Anna" I say smiling and leave. We go upstairs and find Elena alone in a room. "Nice choice Elena" I say when I see the dress she's holding.
"We need to talk" Damon tells her. "Normally I would have a completely different outlook of what I'm about to tell you but since it could really inconvenience me, I'll squeal" he tells us.
"What are you talking about?" Elena and I ask him confused.
"Stefan's still drinking human blood" he answers.
"So he stole the blood from the hospital?" I ask and Damon nods his head. Elena looks at us shocked.
"He has no idea what normal is, his entire existence isn't normal. Normal to a vampire is drinking human blood but he spent all this time fighting it when he should have been learning to control it and now it's controlling him instead" Damon tells Elena.
"Then we have to get him under control, I'll happily do it" I say smirking. Just then Stefan enters the room. "Hello Stefan, we were just filling Elena in on your extracurricular activities" I tell him.
"What are you talking about?" he asks with a laugh.
"I know about the blood Stefan" Elena tells him.
"We'll be downstairs" Damon says and drags me from the room. We then watch the contestants and their escorts appear. But there's no sign of Stefan to escort Elena. So Damon takes his place and dances with Elena. Afterwards Caroline is crowned Miss Mystic Falls.
Then Damon, Elena and I go search for Stefan. We find him feeding on Amber, but he stops when Elena shouts his name. "Stefan, come on get control. It's okay, come on. Breath through it man" Damon says approaching Stefan. Who grabs him and throws him into a tree. I zoom over and snap Stefan's neck.
"I'll get him to the cellar, you deal with this" I tell Damon pointing to the unconscious girl. He nods his head and I grad the unconscious Stefan. I vamp speed to the boarding house cellar and lock him in the cell. Injecting him with vervain. I watch him until Damon returns, then I go home.
